  2. they don't need to beat them though which gives city some protection from their tendency to f*** things up this season True, but I wouldn't fancy the late barrage of corners to Carroll if the scores are level.
  3. I still think City will struggle to beat West Ham. An early goal would be great for all kinds of reasons.
  4. Clark's tache is terrible - proper bum-fluff.
  5. I'd be happy if we made a run at Holtby and Sigurdsson Sigurdsson...sure. For a price. I'd be gutted if we let Holtby go. I just want to know that we've got a decent coach for next year. LVG would have been nice, but he's prob been Moyesed out of it. De Boer is the current fave.
  6. I thought that Bayer Leverkusen one was Leyton Orient for a second and got far too excited. You can never judge a kit properly until you see the sponsor on it btw.
  7. If he gets a good coach and actually listens to them then he's got a chance of making it. He was injured for a while but decidedly underwhelming this year both before and after injury. He's a proper homegrown too, which makes it slightly less likely that we'll sell him. FWIW I don't think he's going to be good enough for our needs, and Levy will want serious money for him. I'd take it, too.
  8. If you start next season as you're finishing this one it will be fucking carnage on here.
  9. Mardi Gras is for the soul, in a manner of speaking . It's a big celebration before you embark on the long fast of Lent. This is would be more like an inverse Mardi Gras - you've already had the fasting bit. And it lasted rather longer than 40 days.
  10. Not to mention they're completely manufactured and soulless. I'll get a sick enjoyment out of Liverpool throwing it away but, gun to my head, I'd still prefer it if they won. I'm at the stage where if anyone other than us wins the league I'm perfectly happy for it to be a manufactured and soulless team. I can just laugh in the face of any attempted gloaters.
  11. I'd suffer another year of mid-table meritocracy under Pardew if it meant Stevie GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE didn't lift the PL trophy. Now this is beyond the f***ing pale, you sick b******! Meritocracy. f***ing made a balls of that. Sorry everybody Think you were just about bang on tbh. So do Pardew and Ashley, though.

  13. Some time during the 80's, Peter Jackson scored a blinding OG at Old Trafford. A diving header too if I recall. We'll let him off, he didn't make a hobbit of it. I remember the way it nestled in the onion baggins. Well this is orcward. You're all just trolls.
  14. ...because nobody ever links Abramovich's Chelsea with corruption??? .

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I can't see him ever fulfilling his real potential. That isn't taking away any blame from Pardew who royally f***ed up but HBA seems to have been self destructive even from him youth days. Something not right in that otherwise brilliant head of his. Ben Arfa is flawed, I don't think many would argue on that score. Forget tracking back, even going forward he has a tendency to hog the ball and that would see most top clubs steer clear. But we aren't a top club and some of the players starting ahead of him in a team which struggles to score goals aren't fit to be on the same pitch. That's the issue. The sad thing is, you can see that he's trying to fit in within Pardew's anti-football framework, and is trying to make things work out with a club for the first time in his life. This has been nothing but a complete waste of an opportunity for both sides. I can't really think of a bigger waste of talent in all the time I've been watching sport. Paul Gascoigne. Not that he was without success, but I genuinely believe he was one of the most talented footballers of all time.
  16. Those Pardew vs Sunderland stats are amazing.
  17. Naah, pretty modern Greek style. Did you not see Euro 2004?
  18. I think you're allowed to make that joke once a month .
  19. Don't think Immobile's going anywhere.
  20. Damn. There go our chances of nabbing LVG.
  21. Johnson should have buried that.
  22. Arguably the worst set of games I've ever seen in the Premiership, though I didn't see any of the Cardiff match tbf.
  23. Still at least three teams worse than them this year, though. Laudrup probably did enough to keep them up this year. If they play like this next year they're f***ed. Depends who comes up, though. Villa will still be there next year, and at least one of Norwich, Cardiff or Sunderland.
