Brugge have had 11 shots on target . They’ve been taking the piss from minute one of the entire tie, and this might be the quickest proper firing in years.
-
Yeah, look up the inflatables craze from the 80s. Back when Man City were actually Man City.
-
Brugge could be 6 or 7 up tonight alone. This could be horrific if they can be bothered.

Anyone happen to know how much this line-up cost in transfer fees? And/or wages?

It’s Grimsby mate. Blast from the past that. If you know your history…

Finally watching the highlights of the first Rangers leg. I’m not even 10 minutes in and it might be the worst defending I’ve ever seen at this level.

Infinite money glitch exploited by Arsenal, Man U and Chelsea. Cartel clubs, eh?

Tbf it’s us, they’re obviously just jealous

They’ve been doing that for years mate, you just weren’t paying attention. The next candidate is Hincapie. We’ve been after him for a while, but the rumour is that now he’s said he wants to leave Leverkusen Chelsea (natch) are interested and Arsenal will sell Kiwior to free up a space. Plus ca change…

Watching the Football League highlights. By Christ, the QPR defending for the goals was worse than any I can remember ever seeing
-
Was the first thing I checked when I realized it was 5-1. We’ve got them on the 13th Sep at the athletics stadium - their next home league game. If he’s still there then that looks like a make or break for him.
-
Christ, still half an hour left.

I was having enough trouble just watching it happen and had to switch it off.

Dibling and Grealish in an Everton team managed by Moyes feels weird.

Arsenal are a CL team taking one of Crystal Palace’s best players. You’re a CL team taking one of Nottm Forest’s best players. CL teams will take players from sides not in the CL, because they have more money and it’s an attractive proposition. That will always be there. We can have all kinds of discussions about multiclub ownership, PSR, nation-state ownership etc etc, but clubs higher up the table buying players from clubs lower down the table is always going to be a thing and is what you were ultimately pointing out. Edit: the anomaly there is Man U, but they have always had a ton of money with their revenue. I’m genuinely curious to see how that changes this year.

Elanga and Ramsey?

Home or away?

It feels like End-stage football is mirroring End-stage Capitalism.

He’s definitely always been tight with the purse-strings because we’ve had to be for 20 years now. I won’t pretend to know the full workings, but my understanding is that despite building up the revenue we do not have a great deal of cash available compared to most big teams.

Genuinely went and Googled whether Blueco owned them too.

I think this is just what happens when the big guns get their business done early and Sky Sports et al have idle hands.

I mean obviously I stand to be corrected, but unless Palace have decided they value Richarlison at £60M and are happy with a straight swap this just sounds like lies. Richarlison has just had a kid, is happier than he’s been for ages and may finally be with a coach who will play to his strengths. Wissa is a year older and going to the AFCON this year unless I’m mistaken. It smells more strongly of bullshit than anything else I’ve seen this Summer.

Not sure what world you’re living in, but he’s not on that much. Spotrac reckons less than Eze, Daichi and Henderson, and the same as Nketiah was last year. Our wage bill is stupidly low now as a percentage of turnover. Think it’s 41% vs everyone else well over 50% and Villa at 96%.
