CL teams will take players from sides not in the CL, because they have more money and it’s an attractive proposition. That will always be there. We can have all kinds of discussions about multiclub ownership, PSR, nation-state ownership etc etc, but clubs higher up the table buying players from clubs lower down the table is always going to be a thing and is what you were ultimately pointing out. Edit: the anomaly there is Man U, but they have always had a ton of money with their revenue. I’m genuinely curious to see how that changes this year.
