Is it just that BBC picture? Nuno looks like he’s drunk from the wrong Holy Grail.
-
On more than one occasion this season I’ve wondered what would have happened had he come to us. Not that we were in the running, just that I really rate him and it feels like it might have clicked.
-
loved that finish. Totally mugged him.
-
Also fuck West Ham.
-
Hilariously good Harry Kane finish.
-
Goal out of nowhere for Brum.
-
Came on here to post this. Great start. Only…didn’t Leicester hit their own post? What a cracking goal just now too. Brilliant game this.
-
And then maybe they’d stop.
-
I was desperate for Nunez to get a double booking then
-
Happy if that’s the reason. Just seems genuine and open-minded. Of course he loves Arsenal but he doesn’t pull bullshit like that Keown mixed XI or Gary Neville’s transparent agenda. A grassroots guy who loves football.

This is starting to really annoy me - I am aware of two players who have been booked for simulation this season and they were both ours. And one of them wasn’t simulation. Players should be booked for clear-cut simulation every time. Can refs just please try not to be shit?

These are my truths : Someone’s got to win a thing. If it’s not us, then who? Who’s the default I can cope with? Grew up North London. You were basically either Spurs, Arsenal or Liverpool so I hated them both. Happy for Man U to be a default i didn’t care about. Then Abramovich came in so Chelsea were first loathed, then fulfilled the “won the lottery so their success and “fans” mean nothing” role. Then Man City did the same only more obviously, and with the advantage of not being London. Then winning doesn’t mean anything to me, so they’re the ideal default. Now i’m torn. Man U and Chelsea being shite is funny but removes two defaults. City showing fragility might end up removing another. Of course I don’t want anyone else joining the party to make things harder so I’d rather not have you guys or Villa. That just leaves Liverpool or the Arse. I used to hate Liverpool more in the 80s then Arsenal overtook them. Now it’s a sort of reverse Sophie's choice. Have to go with Liverpool, sadly.

Quite funny that I start off wanting Liverpool to win, then YNWA, the fans, the commentators, Nunez being a prick and it’s turned on its head. Not too fussed either way tbh.
-
We pissed all over them and just couldn’t finish. Looking like Arsenal or Liverpool right now. Liverpool please *sigh*
-
Finally Arteta gets booked for his bullshit.
-
Really hope there isn’t a bad reason for this. Probably my favourite ex-Arsenal player. Not a lot of competition tbf.
-
Someone posted Ange’s comment about that yet?
-
I agreed with the guy who said Saka seems like a nice guy. Might have mentioned their good transport links too. Would have probably felt compelled to mention that that probably helped them move from South London.

Not a fan of r/premierleague, but found this thread rather sweet: https://www.reddit.com/r/PremierLeague/s/RY3yDWkp6R

That’s famously always been the case. Think it’s a classic “You Are The Ref” staple. Which, incidentally, could really use a reboot to help us all out tbh. I’m a bit concerned about reffing in general after last night’s match. Going to watch it again to check, and maybe it’s just a case of “small” club at home getting kind reffing (saw that for years in Scotland), but there are some concerning patterns. I think they’re really running scared. The time taken to check the offside was insane. I sort of get why he didn’t give Bissouma a red immediately but giving those tackles a yellow still feels a bit like you’re waiting for VAR to help you out. But they completely ignored persistent fouling…again…and my personal pet hate, asking for yellow cards. That Yates didn’t get booked at all (and just two Forest bookings in total) is faintly bonkers. You don’t need fucking VAR to just immediately book people for that shit. It’s OK. It’s fucking mandatory. I feel like VAR and this season so far have left refs walking on thin ice (although tbf they do occasionally jump up and down to break it). The Arteta decision just adds insult to injury, literally.

His personality and attitude have been such a godsend.

Us getting to the Quarter finals our first year back (after getting through an additional playoff round before the group) was a hell of an achievement.

Sorry, should have clarified, I’m Spurs. There’s something of a connection in that we’re both clearly heading in the right direction and I think we’re both happy with our management (more or less). As a result, I don’t feel like missing out on one more year of the CL at this point is disastrous. The missing revenue sucks, but our squad isn’t ready yet and could stand another year of development. But just imagine winning a trophy. The togetherness that fosters, the monkey off the back, the “winning”. It won’t put off Arsenal or Liverpool supporters, they’ll just move the goalposts. Just speaking personally, this is the first year in ages where I’ve started the season thinking that winning a trophy is far more important.

Talking about this on a couple of podcasts - would we take an FA Cup win or CL football this year. I think most would take the FA Cup for the first time in a while.

You managed to turn it against you in one sentence It’s OK to just enjoy the schadenfreude. Don’t qualify it, man. Just relish in Man U being a bin fire . Don’t show your weakness.
