Hard to be productive when the season hasn't even started yet. Clearly I am referring to his production and actions in the first four years he spent at this club. Your objection to my comment is quite stupid. He was our best player last season He provided us with literally nothing for three years while being paid an extremely high amount every single week. He should be ashamed to act like the club owes him anything. Sounds more like you're just annoyed by his behaviour and using that to disregard his obvious use to us.

It's hardly asset stripping if he's repaying money he's already lent to the club. And interest free as well. What reason is there to believe we will keep any of our decent players? Seems like he is intent on taking back money via profit he gets from players transfer fees rather than investing in Newcastle being successful, increasing our turnover & paying back his loan in that manner. Even then i dont necessarily disagree with him doing that, he made a mistake in buying a business running at a loss but it worked out in our benefit financially that he would cover us. The problem is as Kevin Keegan has said, i dont see much reason to believe he has much football knowledge and he looks to be calling the shots on whether a player is worth their wages/transfer fees or not. We will see by the end of the window and next season how that turns out. Banking on moving on proven players for more tiote's is a risky tactic.

Dont see the point in selling him in general. Hasnt even been tried alongside someone that can spot a run like Cabaye instead of Nolan, or another who can match his speed like Ben Arfa. It was his crossfield run that got the ball to Ben Arfa for his goal v Everton. Was decent at the start of last season & a much better option for back up than someone like Ryan taylor and lovenkrands on right wing. Doubt his wages are to much, but yeah. Move him on bit bored of it now.

He just does it in a manner in which he has set up a scouting system so that he can replace the assets he finds, with other supposed bargains. Lessens his loan so that he doesnt have to ask for as much when he sells the club.

Sounds like we were pretty close TBH. Even "top sources" can't read players minds and find out whether they want to come here. In what way? All thats come out is we couldnt agree personal terms. If you're very confident of signing a player, having an idea of the likelyhood of them wanting to move is quite an important factor in that. Otherwise whats the confidence based on? If these same people are very confident we'll sign a defender, midfielder & striker i wouldnt hold their word to a massive amount of value.

Not trying to be funny but off the top of my head in over three years I can't honestly remember having seen Nolan dribble past someone and break from midfield with the ball. Say wha? You missed the letter 't' out. That's the letter that starts and finishes a three letter word which has an 'i' in the middle. Comprende. Whats the relevance of bringing up Nolan ?

I'm sure you've said this every window for the last three years like Someone has to. Just doing my bit to counter all the negativity. I was blessed with a very positive outlook. I consider myself very fortunate that way. Aye you seemed like mr positive when you were posting your annoyance about the huge squad disruption Bartons tweets were going to cause.

I think some should keep in mind that had we won 3 extra points last season, we'd have made 3million more due to league position. So unless you really think not having players like Nolan/Barton/Nzog will have any negative effect on our league position first team or otherwise, it doesnt make much sense financially to not keep (or go for in nzogs case) one of them.

Having youth players with the potential to come in & do well, doesnt mean they will do well. The problem with that when you have no one else, is that it leaves you with poor results.

Most other fans ive talked to expect us to be in a relegation battle tbh Partly probably an overreaction to the recent going ons yes, but its also them not being biased towards a hope that our new players will all make the grade easily. I dont expect we will btw, but i think this season may be a let down for those with high hopes for our new players to turn us into a beautifully attacking side.

Ohhh so Marveaux the guy coming off an injury, who played very few games last season & is said to be behind everyone else in terms of fitness in pre season because of that, who is also completely untested in a league which many good players dont make it in, is the guy replacing Barton one of our best players last season Thank fuck for that. Lucky we didnt just get Marv on the basis that he might have the potential to be very good & we had someone like Barton/Jonas/an actual squad who could step in still if he and the other new lads dont step up.

Wasnt one of the things to come out that part of their new expectations of him this season was a top 10 finish? Good luck mate

Think its a waste of time arguing about all this now, no one changes their viewpoints even when faced with solid arguments. We'll have to see how the season goes & how much of an impact all this clever decision making has made. Hopefully not to much.
