Have to say, stick up for him lots but im fucked off hes injured yet again. Third time this season now isnt it ? As much as i argue about his ability, just cant see him going a full season anymore which isnt good enough for what we pay.

The obvious single difference is that now we have to get a point atleast against villa. I think the way we've played the last two games...the run of form villa are on....its very realistic that we could get a point atleast. We deserved atleast a point to a very good fulham side who have been in great form for ages, been playing far better than villa as their result against them showed. Id say its also very realistic that Man united will beat hull. So its more likely to go our way when you ignore the natural feeling of negativity following another loss. Still this being Newcastle...and the last minute equalizers against us, sending offs, pens against etc. You do get the feeling that if ever Hull were going to pull off a result against united its this season. Also Fagan the guy we crippled for half a season kept them in the game v bolton...cleared two off the line & scored to get the point. So it just seems to be going the wrong way, but hopefully that was left at last week.

When asked about his game against hull: Makes it sound like he wouldnt just play his youth team, if he does hes a cock.
-
Took them two & city went down to division two... I think the longer you're in the prem the harder its going to be to adapt to championship level. Much harder. Seems proven.

is owen defo out of this then
-
Was talking about Colo, though Jonas was impressive at the start yeah.
-
Agree. What was sad was watching West brom yesterday. One disallowed goal, one off the post, about two off the line...so many misses. So similar to us v Fulham it was scary. Atleast now we have one last game to take it out of the hands of luck & deserve to win. We take our chances we will.
-
Are there any clubs that have stayed in the prem for more than 3 seasons and come straight back up ?
-
Dont think its as serious as some are taking it. Its a distasteful joke, hes trying to use humour. Reminds me of how in an interview he said how "funny" it was when people were calling them the cockney mafia & how he thought it was great we had such humour or whatever. Sounds like hes trying very badly to get on our side more than anything. Found it more annoying watching wise celebrating chelseas win yesterday in the crowd & remembering that Ashley sole decision to keep that twat with the club is probably why we're near relegated right now. What a moronic decision.

Its schwarzer's reaction that does it for me, was watching the replays again earlier. Nolans standing infront of him, moves behind while barely touching him & he flings his arms out as if to give up on even trying to save the shot because of how badly hed been fouled. Ref clearly sees that and falls for it.

Dalglish as well as buying some monumental s**** also left us with Solano, Dabizas, Given, Speed and Hamann. When we first signed Dabizas I was really impressed with him. We were all impressed with Coloccini. Well you would've been wrong not to be. He played well against Man U and Bolton. Chose not to judge him after two games, same with Jonas. But if someone asked your opinion after the first two games you would've said he's been good. average at best

Doubt it will be able to spur them on in the same way our side will be. We'll defo get chances to score against them, its certain. We have to finish those chances, no excuses.
-
Just seemed like he expected nevland to try to chip harper and go for glory so he tried to run behind to get in the block. Dont think it was horrific defending, he wouldnt have known nevland would take it so close to harper by the time he decided to make the run.
-
owens been ahead for most of the season easily, injurys dont come into it both of them have been. Martins only caught up some recently.
-
West brom are down
-
Our main goal has to be keeping shearer. Hes the only one who seems capable of getting things to run efficiently regardless.
-
The benefit is those players could pick up injuries. I'd love the above to be the team but it won't happen Not impossible though. The other argument ofcourse is that he'll want them to keep a winning mentality, losing to hull will be embarassing either way. He might just play those who he only thinks will be subs.
-
Yup. He had good intentions but he turned out to be a complete moron & we've paid for it.
-
Just answered on this in another thread. Im not sure we would atall. Very hard to tell. Its very very hard to visualize a Newcastle side consistantly beating most sides in the league. Even championship standard. Any form of consistancy apart from being crap hasnt been seen in a long time. Even at championship level, i can imagine us slipping up...few bad results...lots of pressure....unlikely
-
Resting players isnt detrimental to them, its beneficial
-
Our chances to win were far better than theirs. We could easily have won with better finishing/decisions.
-
How likely is it that if we went down we'd just come right back up ? I feel we could be down there for a few seasons...we're not like other teams who have gone up and down. Sunlun/birmingham etc We're a bigger side, the championship sides will step it up everytime. We'll lose many players.....this wont just mess up our ability but any chemistry the side has now. (Admittedly not much but more than we would have). So then you have to pu tnew players and get them working well together. I just have a hard time believing we'll be consistantly better than nearly every other side in that league if we went down. We were already dodgy against lower league opposition in our better days.
-
Except Martins, he's fair game right? Not sure one post could be put under the category of someone who keeps going on about something. But then again thats just common sense for you again huh
-
Problem is we're not a good team. We're probably a team that is just about good enough. A side that deserves to stay up JUST ABOUT. This kind of side is massively effected by crap decisions. The end result is we deserve to get more than we do regardless. Think theres a realistic case to be made about us being unlucky this season & that being a good part of why we are where we are.
-
Pointless table as it doesnt consider far to many things, especially how a team like ours falls apart after going behind. If we lose 2-0 & the first was unfair he still records it as a 1-0 win. Which isnt something you can determine. Same with sending offs. The idea sunlun have been more unlucky than us is laughable.
