  1. Guthrie away at Portsmouth. The only one that springs to mind. Aye. Even that one went straight through James' hands. Just shows how crap we were that season though, there was like no memorable goals. Duff and Viduka's combination goal was probably our goal of the season.
  2. How many 'screamers' did we score in 08/09? I'm pretty sure it was none. We've had 2 already this season.
  3. Just got back, absolutely fantastic day. Don't think I've ever celebrated like I did when Ben Arfa scored. Fucking incredible moment.
  4. I'd rather see us win games by playing great football, if that's not possible I want to see us win, if that's not possible I want to see us try. That's why I detest Allardyce. Playing bad football, losing and not even trying to win games. Not to mention that he's also a delusional, arrogant, hypocritical twat to boot.

  6. Seriously, want a stupid almighty cunt. I hate him.
  7. Ahahahahhahaha Allardyce fuck off.
  8. No way you can download/rip stuff off iPlayer? Wouldn't mind sticking it on my iPod for a listen to tomorrow.
  9. We should be doing that with Smith. And then Nolan at the end of the season. how many times man.....whos' going to take smith with the wages he's on. he'll leave on a free at best and only if he takes a massive cut in wages or we subsidise them. I know man, but I can hope.
  10. We should be doing that with Smith. And then Nolan at the end of the season.
  11. Would be happier if 7 of Lech´s starters weren´t foreign, including three the defenders which explains why they only conceded 3 goals. Was a fun game in any case, Krivets has been really good since he came in january and was excellent tonight as well, could see him playing for a bigger club in the future. Aye I was gonna say, the star man was a Latvian rather than a Pole! Krivets is an FM legend, was annoyed when he went to Lech because he was always very cheap from BATE.
  12. Fairly good player, but he is extremely slow releasing it at times and is not the most forward thinking, just watch how much he turns around and plays back, boils my p*as at times, could do with him in team for freekicks and spraying the ball around the pitch He definitely has his limitations, but he was our best midfielder last year. The signing of Routledge was good on an individual basis but more importantly it allowed Guthrie to move into the centre and Smith to drop to the bench. We never looked back from that point on. He's a good passer of the ball and does the simple things well, keeping us ticking over in the middle of the park. Atleast his role is actually defined rather than Smith who just offers nowt.
  13. So did we play the 4-2-3-1 that has become very fashionable at the moment, or was it more like 4-5-1?
  14. Ranger missed a sitter. Think he looked a bit scared of the challenge from the keeper. Cambell=unfit. Vuckic,,, gonna be first team soon, and Kadar but the lad to look out for imo is Airey. he was only on for the last ten minuets but looked very sharp How were Ferguson and Edmundsson?
  15. Shame about the result, but it's nice to hear the players performing well and doing it in the right style aswell.
  16. He should be like, he was massive last season for us. I still think he's a decent Premier League player, and having somebody with legs alongside him (hopefully Tiote can do this) he is a decent option.
  17. Juve Ridman has probably collapsed in shock at this Polish success.
  18. I've seen enough of Ben Arfa to know he'd be a massive upgrade to our team. He's a very talented player who at one stage was dubbed the future of French football, whether he hasn't reached them heights or not is irrelevant because we're talking about his abilities relative to our squad. He's far more talented than what we have and we're actually pretty lucky to have him here because of his acrimonious off the field problems. If he was a model pro he wouldn't be anywhere near this club at this stage of his career. Just because past foreign players have not lived up to expectations at this club is a moot point, they have absolutely nothing to do with this player. People on here who HAVE seen him play know how good he is. It's not even a case of overhyping him, it's just the fact he's definitely better than the alternatives. The hatred of Smith and Nolan is not irrational by the way. They're awful, it's perfectly rational to want poor players replaced. Especially Smith, who was made out to be a liability in the Championship. Yet now he's okay for the Premier League? Get away man.
