  1. It was £6 million, but still, amazing business.
  2. I didn't expect that they would be happy about it, like I said, it's a good draw as we either go through or we go out now and concentrate on the league. Pretty sure that's how it would have worked whoever we got, like.
  3. Didn't Shola and Carroll fail as partnership in the past?
  4. Has Shola ever missed a pen for us?
  5. Tbf, first game they were very close to a point in their first game away to Bayern.. and in the next league game they threw aweay a 3 goal lead to lose 3-4. They're doing okay.
  6. Bit harsh to blame him for that Pompey game, considering he was still at Depor.
  7. The one that's now at Wolfsburg, or somebody else? Edit: Some Portuguese bloke, I remember now.
  8. You see, I'm the opposite to this. I hate the fact that it's only an elite few who can win the top honours, if it takes a billionaire to invest to help someone else get there then so be it. Football is completely fucked at the moment anyway. It would be to the benefit for everybody if the bubble would burst for a number of top clubs. Nobody is going to get anywhere without money the way it stands.
  9. I would, because Chelsea are a bunch of nasty caaants. I'd genuinely hate supporting a club like that.
  10. Just point out that the Chelsea team had a combined 374 international caps, and we had four players starting who have never started a PL game. The result as much as it was a good one for us was an embarassment for Chelsea and its featured players. Exactly. Don't even know why I've bothered to respond again. They're barely football fans. They're a twattish bunch of spoilt c***s, is how it looks. Yep, exactly my first thoughts. I've given up arguing though, it's a waste with plastic supporters like that who don't know what it's like to follow a real club. I was about respond to the 'big club' jibe, but yeah it's just a waste of time. Chelsea were f***ing nowt till Abramovich turned up. Devils advocate, but Abramovich's first match in chrage of Chelsea was a CL qualifier. IT's not a Man City situation. They were a serious club before. It's not far off. 1 league title in their history before he turned up. Even we've got 4. They were a run of the mill club, not terrible but not doing amazingly either. In the current league, I remember them being about as good as Villa or Everton maybe. That's all they've ever been. A 'cup club' that would never think about winning the league. Hope the bastards fall like a pack of cards once Abramovich goes/dies.

  13. Very true. It's already growing on me because I now associate it with the 3 outstanding wins this season. It was the same with the mental banana kit last year. I called it allsorts when it came out but once it became the cult shirt of our naff away victories I ended up buying it around January time.
  14. Everybody except Inter contining to suck completely.
  15. Think it's been said before, but he's definitely a #10 kind of player rather than an allround midfielder in 4-4-2. Specialist players like that tend to struggle when they're played out of position, even world class allround attacking midfielders like Sneijder can struggle if they're shoehorned into a deep midfield role or made to play out wide. Gotta remember aswell he's just gone 18, and was playing alongside Smith against a midfield costing around £40 million. Think we should reserve judgement just yet, especially when you consider just how much Carroll came on in just a 6 month spell 3 years on from where Vuckic is in his career.
