The bloke's a fucking hero mind.

Gayle has been a decent player and undoubtedly a great signing for us in the circumstances. The shit he gets from some quarters is bizarre.

It's no excuse. I can almost understand parenrs being guilt tripped into getting them for their little brats, but fully grown adults wandering around in them the day after launch ffs. -

I went along today. Got 2 free tickets as auntie was running a stall at that Great North Kids Exhibition in the Milburn Suite. Shite game. Amazing how many people have already bought the new shirts. People just cant help themselves. -
Would be a good move if at all true. He's the best player in the Swiss League atm.

Get in! another one sold!

The Sun has us or Fulham in for Tagliafico again.

Perhaps we can give ourselves the illusion of purpose. That is nice. However ultimately consciousness and civilization gives humans an arrogance that is unjustified. We are no better than the animals, the plants or the rock we stand on. The overwhelming likelihood is that we wont encounter other intelligent life and we'll disappear without ever doing so like an insignificant speck in the vast universe. Have a nice Sunday.
-
Of course, the joys of consciousness, but ultimately the only reason we exist is to procreate and make more people. It's the only reason any living creature exists.
-
From an evolutionary perspective, yes, that's the only reason we exist. Unless you believe in a higher power there is no greater 'purpose' for us to be here. Of course the other stuff is neat and good to keep ourselves occupied before we die.
-
I'm somebody who isnt particularly keen on having a child of my own right now but questioning why somebody would want to fulfill what is ultimately our only purpose on the planet is a bit wild.
-
The most worrying thing with Rondon is he's a player who was explosive and powerful when he came through in Spain, which compensated for his limited technical ability. He never rounded his game, and it seems like he's slowing down now.
-
Thing with Rondon is if we were signing him from Malaga or Zenit then everybody would probably be excited about it. It's because he's already been here a while, is kicking on 29 now and been average at best in England so isn't an exciting signing. He still is likely an upgrade on Gayle/Joselu and more suited to what Rafa wants than Mitrovic.
-
If that 42 million was matched with around the same in TV money we'd probably be looking at a very exciting season ahead. It's a pisstake.
-
Still need striker, left back, probably another CB. Ideally a #10. And also to shift 4 or 5 out. Less than 2 weeks to do it.
-
No problem referring to the work permit? Yes of course that bit is. I just think with a striker if all you says is 'brings energy' then it's pretty worrying.
-
The problem with that is Dummett is our first choice (and only) left back. If that changes, we might be OK.
-
Ringing endorsement.
-
This is a huge blow mind. One of the things to be confident about the season was the Lascelles/Lejeune partnership. We could be in deep shit if Schaer isn't up to English football.
-
Federico Fernandez, or that Diego Reyes surely.
-
Extremely thin at CB in this case. Makes getting another defender in vital, even if it's a left back to free up Dummett to play in the middle.
-
Looking at the videos, the comparisons with Bellamy look way off, he does look more of a nippy striker around the box like Okazaki.
