I think Berahino would be a better partner for Mitrovic than Austin. By a million miles. He's also a far better player in general. Only thing Austin has over him is he seems less of a mardy modern footballer type. Regardless, it matters little because we'd never pay the money to sign Berahino.

He's not as bad as his brother, being able to find the net puts him ahead. Having said that, I don't see what others see in him other than what he's done before he came here. Was at a PSV game last season, guy I was talking to about them said Luuk was the better and more technically gifted of the two. Alarm bells ringing when I heard that. Willing to give him a chance this season, but I haven't been impressed so far and I would not play him ahead of Perez (they both should play, considering options, tbh).

We finished 15th last season with Pardew for one half and the biggest fucking idiot in PL history for the other, enduring one of the worst runs I've ever seen from a PL team. We've since appointed an actual football manager (regardless of what you think of him, he is one, which can't be said for Carver), signed 3 players who will improve us, gained Aarons/De Jong from injury (who will also improve us) plus whatever else we get from now on. I'd personally be stunned if we didn't do better than last season.
