  1. People said they were an outsider for the last 2 tournaments and they failed to qualify for both.
  2. Belgium have more chance of winning a World Cup than France, Italy, Argentina or Holland?
  3. They couldn't afford him
  4. He's more of a functional player than he was as a teenager. He's a brilliant player for Man Utd but with England he doesn't have that spark needed to lift a more average side.

He does actually, there is a long argument where he is arguing Bale has surpassed Iniesta and Xavi. He also thinks Bale will become a central midfielder later in his career and dominate. Castration is necessary.

Geddo ‏@AshleySKace in this present day, Bale could fill in for either Iniesta or Xavi and do the same job Wow.
  7. Think Haidara will have to wear a different number in Europe, since Ba had 19 in the first half. I know Isaac Cuenca at Ajax has been given two different numbers (for domestic and UEFA) for that same reason. Seems a bit daft.
  8. Jesus fucking wept College D was running out of ways to be contrary until he stumbled across the genius idea to drop some pro-LFC/RAWK bombs. A real eureka moment.

    Serie A 2012/13

Found this; http://www.footballitaliano.co.uk/p6_66_6262_gaining-ground-in-serie-as-stadium-situation.html#.URF_8fKYiSo From 2011 but explains the situation quite well.

Difficult to, there has meant to have been a law passed in parliament for years to make it easier for clubs to build stadiums but it has never happened. They're pretty much all leased off the council at the moment, and the councils don't want to give up the revenue streams and be left with big white elephants to deal with. It's one big stand off and is a massive chain around the neck of the league's progress.

Wasn't he at Roma in 2011? So they peddled him for Luis Enrique rather than Ranieri.
  13. Remember when Charles Itandje remembered something funny at the wrong time. They weren't so forgiving to him, I thought they'd fed him to lions until he turned up in Greece for our qualifier.
  14. RAWK is full of foreigners and freaks. It's hardly representative of their fanbase, more like an online mental asylum.

    Loïc Remy

Keep forgetting they've got aging ex-Fulham crocks Zamora and Johnson sitting around nursing injuries somewhere too.

    Loïc Remy

Has this definitely been confirmed yet btw? The length of the injury. Anyway the funniest bit about it is that they loaned out Cisse, plus failing to sign Crouch and Odemwingie. If he is injured they're in a worse position than when they started the window.

    Loïc Remy

Yeah it was never mentioned that there's a termination clause like Ba's IIRC, sounded more like there might be a buy-out clause built in on relegation. Thing is if he's injured/shit during his time then there is no guarentee anybody comes in for him, and if they do whats to say he doesn't just sit there on his exorbitant wages anyway?
  18. Still think Simpson only just scrapes into status as a Premier League footballer. That's the level of club he'll end up at, a club packed with players on the border between Championship/Premier League quality. In terms of ability in possession of the ball and in terms of distribution I struggle to think of a worse player in the top flight. He may not directly cost us goals (depends what defines this, I think the sudden idea he doesn't make defensive errors is a bit of a new one), but his entire style of play will forever limit a team. His arrogance of his own ability is the thing that riles me up the most though. The comments on Twitter about him being better than Rafael, and Dzeko being 'pony' - both players that are infinitely more talented than him and will achieve a hell of a lot more in the game. That kind of stuff coupled with his unnerving ability to pass the blame onto others on the pitch iritate me more than his own limitations. He's served a purpose but I'll be happy to see walk away at the end of the season rather than secure him on the 'purple player' status/wages he desires.
  19. Surely you've at least heard of Clasie, what with him destined to play for SAFC.
  20. Only one I've never heard of is Jaanmat.
  21. Needs to happen though doesn't it, the Euros were a joke.
  22. Enrique suffered from the same problem with regards to end product as Santon does. I can barely remember any top flight assists from him. He turned into a top class defensive player though, so you don't really care too much when that is the case. Think everybody could see the potential Enrique had from the first game he played, it was inevitable he would come good IMO. I get the same feeling with Santon, only I think in terms of natural talent/skill he's another level up.
  23. I'd still like to see him on the left of the 4-2-3-1 with Ben Arfa other side. I know Marveaux seems very much like a drift centrally kid of player, but his left foot could offer excellent width in the right situation. With our current full-back set-up, that would give us both the natural crossing option (Marveaux and Debuchy) and the option to cut inside (Santon and Ben Arfa) on both flanks.
