http://www.slantmagazine.com/images/film/goal.jpg GOAL as the initiation movie. Makes sense. Be as good as Santi and you can move to Real Madrid

 Mint move for him and the club if he can get back to fitness.

So are those new quotes from his Dad, or has it just taken a couple of weeks to come through over here? It definitely got a mention on the World Football Phone in before Christmas.
-
All the Argieball teams are skint, they wouldn't be able to cough up a fee and he'd have to make a massive paycut. Worrying that it seems his heart is set on it, what has really gone on behind the scenes between him signing a 5 year deal and wanting to rip it up 6 months later?

Tim Vickery mentioned this on World Football phone in a couple of weeks ago. Didn't really give it much thought, but those are solid quotes.

This. His injuries fucking worry me though, despite all the talk about Ba's knee he was available for virtually every game since he came. This guy's been likened to an F1 car in terms of being high maintenance. Can we cope with that? in all comps 08-09 36 games 09-10 36 games 10-11 43 games 11-12 42 games First two were with Nice so no European games. Not a bad record up until his injury before the Euros.

Don't know how anyone could be friends with c***s like that. Worst of the worst. There is honestly nothing I hate more around football discussion than talking to people that know absolutely nothing about football, about football. We all debate on here and we all think we know best and so on, but there's mutual respect, because the bottom line is that we all love football and there's a baseline of knowledge about it that pretty much all of us have. Talking to people who will pontificate about knowing it all and coming out with the same 'but it's the players. Why are you blaming the manager? They're all paid enough to be able to kick a ball!!!' does my fucking head in and I'd rather they just didn't talk to me about football at all. "I don't rate Xavi, all Spanish players are overrated" - somebody I know.

Don't take the Bramble comment to heart

You what? When he puts on a bit more muscle, he'll have the PHYSICAL attributes to perform as a modern day b2b midfielder. The closest thing we have to Yaya Toure.

Well done him. Fucking idiots.

He only played about 10 games in the Championship season and was largely poor when he did.
-
He is good at what he's good at though - Europe, slaughtering mackems and ten minute bursts when you need something different. He is a genuinely good option from the bench. If the manager is picking him to play for 90 minutes, that's his fault, not Shola's. I thought he did everything asked of him tonight tbh and don't see the point having a go at him really. I've just been having an argument with one of my mates who's a massive Shola fan. His argument was that Shola played well/alright tonight. The problem with Shola playing well is he does it to his own standards and merits. Even when he does play well - that is him holding the ball up, winning headers, being a 'muscle/nuisance' player. Even him doing this and doing it well doesn't stop him being desperately static, slow and generally not very condusive to a team that wants to play football. The obvious answer tonight with Ba gone was Cisse through the middle with Marveaux and Obertan either side, take advantage of Cisse's movement and talent with the two creative players possessing a modicum of form. Don't fucking put Shola in there FFS, the immobile lump. Still got me fucking annoyed that has, to the point where I haven't gone to bed and it's 2:22am. I just don't get it.

Was going to say that but he's more a RB these days, Bayern usually have Alaba at LB who is pretty canny himself. Best full-back in the world on either side. -

I doubt any other manager would have Shola at the club for 2 years and think it would be a good idea to play him in the centre and Cisse on the wing, he should be sacked for that alone. Shola has the same movement as a corpse and we were crying out for movement in the centre for the entire first half when we were playing quite well. Our players coming ball might improve our results, if they do it will be in spite of Pardew, not because of him. THIS. Honestly, if there's ever a more telling sign to his cluelessness it is his favouritism towards Shola. He wants the big, immobile, talentless lump to play there so we can hoof the bastard thing to him rather than play the £10 million, talented, mobile goalscorer and surround him with the two form wide players in the side. I can't get over the way he thinks. It's just fucking backwards.
