  3. Why is Wenger mental?, Ba would never fit into a system like arsenal, their fowards inter-change and move all over the place, most importantly they are comfortable on the ball when they receive it which is used to bring midfielders into play. Ba's strengths are not those attributes. Eh? Have you seen who Arsenal have upfront? Ba's movement and ability on the ball is superior to Giroud, Walcott, Gervinho and Chamakh. That's without even mentioning all the other things he's better at. they usually play with one man upfront, Ba is a better finisher for sure , but you seriously think he would fit in as the main foward in a arsenal system? he would have to interchange move about, thats not his game, and his ability on the ball is less than average, how often do you see Demba Ba receive a ball and successfully pass to a team mate? not very often. and he's not very good at holding the ball up either. his strengths are getting on the end of long balls and crosses to convert towards goal, something that arsenal dont do very much. His strengths only look that way because of the way we play. He's a lot more of an intelligent mover and technical player than all of Arsenal's forwards apart from Podolski. He'd fit into that team easily and be a massive improvement on most of the idiots in their forward line. To suggest otherwise is ridiculous and I guarentee every Arsenal fan would agree.
  4. Yeah, they are. Maybe Bordeaux aren't but even if they aren't they put in a stinking one off display. We won't have an easier game all season than that one.

  6. I think his link up play is poorer than a lot of the other top strikers, but generally I agree. He has a lot to his game.
  7. Whatever you say about his attitude, adaptability to formations, allround game etc; 30 goals in 55 Prem appearances since he came over from Germany
  8. True, but it's still an anomaly. Just realised that neither Gomez or Huntelaar are on there. Bit harsh, particularly on Gomez.
  9. Aye they highlighted it on Revista. The hattrick goal against Depor last week when he got it and dribbled around 3 of the opposition before scoring Last previous one was against Villarreal in 2010.
  10. Ferrero Rocher is Italian innit? I wasn't really that fussed about making sense there tbf. Interpolic:
  11. Lets not have any shennanigans on Euro winners/CL winners/team exploits. I can accept it for years of lesser achievement like 2006 when it was given to Cannavaro, but at the moment the gap between the top 2 and everybody else is so big it is absurd that anybody else should win it. The award should go to the best player in the world. Personally, I think Messi in terms of individual performances has been brilliant to the point where it is almost ridiculous. He's the best striker in the world and the best playmaker in the world; to be so productive in terms of playing deep and creating goals while also having the best goalscoring calender year in history (try and tell me he won't break Muller's record) would be freakish at any point in history nevermind doing it in the modern era. He's been carrying a Barca side where the key players of recent years all suffered bad injury problems or significant dips in form (even Xavi despite his goalscoring exploits). Villa had a broken leg, Pedro looked out of sorts for most of last season, Iniesta had injury and form difficulties, Pique and Puyol both missed large spells of the season, Fabregas vanished from around December onwards... and so forth. He basically blew the 'can't do it without Xavi/Iniesta' myth out of the water as he carried all of them on his back. There's absolutely no way Barca would have got anywhere near Madrid if he hadn't have hit the heights he did. Real Madrid's next best goalscorers after Cronaldo were Higuian (22) and Benzema (21) both without taking a single penalty whereas Barca's next best was Sanchez on.... 11. Top scorer in the Champions League (14 goals), top assister in the CL (5), top goalscorer in La Liga (50), top assister in La Liga (19), 12 goals in 8 games for Argentina in 2012 (top scorer in SA qualifying). He's simply the best goalscorer AND best playmaker in Europe both at the same time, he is the complete footballer.
  12. Reeks of potential bargain over how he fits into the team or whether we even need him.
  13. Bet they'll both be over the moon to see that made it to the BBC website. It's funny because they both know they're being childish but are both desperate for the shirt. I'd probably be the same
  14. Probably referring to the fact he's only staying at Chelsea for the money. wat mental post. No idea where Stif is going with that.

    Alan Pardew

Can't believe he used the 'we were tired from the efforts this week' excuse. What, the European game? Where we rested almost the entire team?
  16. Twitter (LOL) reckons he called Mata a 'Spanish twat'.

69 points in our best finish under Bobby (3rd place season), 65 last year. Personally don't think there's that much difference between the personel on paper; both have quality players but also a lot of squad players who'd get nowhere near a genuine title challenging team. The difference is that Bobby had a team playing confidently to their strengths that was more worried about our own gameplan than what the opposition was doing. It's also interesting that both teams (11/12 and 02/03) had significantly worse GD than the other teams around them.
  18. Ben Arfa was behind Obertan and Raylor for large stretches of early last season tbf.
  19. One thing I don't understand is why when he has played it's been on the right.
