That was almost NINE years ago too Nothing has changed, except us going backwards.

It's really noticeable as well how we're only a big club when it suits him, talking us down the rest of the time for his own benefit. Pardew really was his mouthpiece.

From that AO piece, the fucking nerve of this guy down the years man

There was something in one of his interviews a few months back (or it might have been an excerpt from that book) where he said he only really expects about 2 thirds of signings to work out. Something like that anyway

you partially colourblind? Yes I am. It's no laughing matter. Can't tell if you're being serious, I'm colour blind and it's no biggie like

Maybe he meant more experience in general. More lies and creative recall of the past. Hughton wasn't made permanent boss until a few months into the season. From Hughton's Wiki: "During the off-season of 2009, owner Mike Ashley announced he was selling the club, and Hughton was again left with the job of caretaker manager when the club failed to further secure the services of Alan Shearer. This was followed by a statement from Llambias: "Mike Ashley feels it would be unwise to appoint a team manager when the club is for sale," leaving Hughton in charge for the start of the 2009–10 season." ... "A positive start to the 2009–10 season saw Hughton win successive Manager of the Month awards for August and September and then again in November, resulting in the board naming him as the new permanent manager of the club, after two stints as caretaker.[29] Hughton's league start to his managerial career was the best in Newcastle's history."

Looks like Shelvey did that simply because Alii flicked the ball away from him as well. By all accounts he's worked his arse off all summer and then loses his shit over something highly trivial in the first game. Bloke is crazy. -

Suppose this from May 2015 is out of the window now as well? Spent a bit of money in 15/16 but that's all over with now. "We have got the club on a very sound financial footing, so we are able to spend and punch above our weight thanks to the current financial situation the club finds itself in. "We may have the cart, financially, but we now need to bolt the horse on, and we are going to." Intentions for the future? "To definitely win something and, by the way, I won't be selling (the club) until I do. "(The club is not for sale) at any price. And when I say 'win something', if we ever get into a position of being in a Champions League place, that also counts as winning something. "From this day forward we will be making our own luck."
