Robert Madley 3-0 Newcastle - 25/10/15 - Post match reaction from Half Time

KI and others, are you taking into consideration how many players they had behind the ball? My observation when watching was that I've never seen them or us park the bus in a derby to that degree. They made no effort to get forward, except on a few occasions second half and the lead to the penalty incident. That makes even a shit team difficult to break down. I'm not saying it was good enough because it clearly wasn't in the end but we were getting there and were starting to open them up before the penalty and were by far the better side in the second half as well. My main/only complaint Colo-aside was the defending for the 2nd goal. No issues with the 3rd as we had to go gung ho and risk that. -

You'd have thought it might improve his aerial duel game, alas no.

There are a few hundred active members on this forum, almost all of whom can't stand the owner. No idea how you can say attendances prove lots of people on here are still supporting the owner because they make the odd positive comment about the way we've been attacking of late. Personally I go to a handful of aways a season and refuse to buy merchandise and that's been my stance for years. -
Colo probably threatened to deck him.

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/police-hunt-three-men-after-10333365 Are you fucking kidding me or what. There's another few years of me being called a horse puncher at work. -
Think he's looked quite balanced since the Arsenal red card. Was probably a huge blessing in disguise.
-
At best it's on par with what Adebayor got done for, not that I'm that arsed in that case but doubt he'll have the same case to answer with the FA.

That's rubbish like, almost everyone on here detests Ashley and a good proportion stopped giving him money years ago. Doesn't mean you can't comment the football has been a bit better this year and stand by the idea we're well shot of Pardew at least. -
There are countless allegations, many of them potentially libelous and/or in contempt of court, from NUFC fans on this and other threads regarding AJ, yet you think a couple of Mackems on here defending our justice system could be banned? Don't get too cocky, you're 4/5 fav at the minute.

Didn't see any build-up, was Black on the pitch before the game again or not? -
The distribution of points this season has been a bit odd. Not that we're necessarily making the same point here but people keep rightly going on about Chelsea's terrible form but they're only 11 points off the top with 3 quarters of the season to go. If they sorted themselves out they could actually challenge again.

You've literally never been right about anything once.

Our disciplinary record is fucking shocking mind, and has been for a long time.

So is a footballer celebrating a goal with the aeroplane shit. It's been done many times before and it'll be done many more times hereafter. People looking for something to get all righteous about is all it is. The bit that you're conveniently missing is that he ran the full length of the pitch to do it in front of a set of fans who just last year famously lost 2 fans in a plane crash. It was a very strange celebration like, even ignoring the plane thing for a second. Adebayor got done for similar and with Johnson it was doubtless done to goad fans that had been singing songs about him having sex with children.

Think we'll be areet still tbh, been saying the same for ages. Need to really step up the next 4 games but we're playing some good stuff at times. Far worse Newcastle sides than this down the years have been fine.
-
It's a pointless appeal, when it's a matter of opinion they always back the ref. Like I say I think there are a few clubs that might have a chance with it, but not us.
-
The chance had gone though, so it wasn't a goalscoring opportunity. I disagree tbh, there's a chance he would have got there.
-
Also I doubt we'll get any joy out of an appeal, the FA hates us.

Just catching up. Surprised so many people say it was a pen and not a red. If there's any chance of the attacker getting to that ball first then them's the rules if it is deemed a foul, and you couldn't categorically say he wouldn't have done there. My main concern was whether it was a foul or not. In my view it was what I've always thought was a legal shoulder barge. That happens 5 years ago, or as the defender is trying to shepherd the ball out of play then nothing would be given. Regardless it's his own daft fucking fault for putting himself in that position. Would far rather he'd not even made contact and not taken a risk. That goes in and we'd have still won the match imo, we looked by far the better side even with 10 men.

If Ashley has to shitcan McClaren and spend 50m on replacements then Charnley won't survive imo. The only saving grace is that 3 of the 4 signings look good players, who surely only a complete idiot couldn't use. -

I certainly was like. -
It's a bit harsh to say he lacks conviction, but yeah there are issues with his physicality. Early days though. I take comfort from remembering a very similar looking player who I saw on his debut for the toon many years ago. A player who looked far too weak for professional football, and who I dismissed out of hand. His name was Chris Waddle. I for one am shocked that your footballing knowledge and judgement were proven to be lacking. Shocked I tell you. I made the Waddle comparison a while back like, more due to an awkward playing style and direct running than anything else. Based on YouTube videos though of course, as he's shown very little for us so far.
