That's one season you're talking about. Or do you think 12th, 16th, 10th is "pretty high up in the league"? Well, 10th is pretty decent considering the shambles that was the end of last season. We are doing fine untill Cabaye being sold. Just totally beyond Pardew's control. Post-Cabaye our results /performances turned to this: http://imgur.com/7vMF5Q5.jpg After selling ONE PLAYER. Not even remotely acceptable.

How many clubs have went down in the last 10 years that are as big as Newcastle? None. We shouldn't have gone down, there is no excuse for this bullshit newly-promoted club mentality to cloud the issue and feed into this idea that we're a plucky underdog who should be happy with what we're given. We spent one season out of the top flight, six years ago. That is not going on Pardew's "Reasons I'm So Valiantly Battling Adversity" list, not a chance. We're a well established Premier League club.

Dunno. Mods?

Christ almighty .

It was quite novel in the last few games of last season, willing us to lose in the hope he'd get sacked. Felt like there was a point to it all.

Remember how fucking smug he was when we were top half in early 2014? If not, here's a reminder: https://mtc.cdn.vine.co/r/videos/5D60A08D7B1067249885658710016_2b895e3b5d8.0.1.6370614581673951666.mp4?versionId=5Vy4H4nxfhRZlvy5RTM8asmv2CZvMNhl If we are looking safe at Christmas time we'll let the foot off the gas again, without a shadow of a doubt.

We've been fucking shite for the last 10 years, as well - it's almost as if they've been sat on that one for a while but had to wait until they were clear of the Sir Bobby Robson teams first.
-
Even when we win it's mostly unbearable to watch as well. I'd rather watch Pedro and Ben Arfa have a kick about in training, I honestly would. Exactly - the wins are shit, the draws are shit, the losses are shit. Even when we manage a vaguely entertaining 45 minutes the manager will do all he can to suck all of the fun out of it after the break.

We always get jack from just down the road under his leadership tbf. You haven't been given the credit you deserve for this line. Very good. Story of my life mate, thanks for your kind words. Love that quote about not giving up after reaching 40 points, such a load of rubbish. Never seen such a disgusting show of collective back-patting as we saw around Christmas when it became clear we weren't likely to go down.
-
I'd agree but he said we'd be pushing for the Champions League around a week ago. Sometimes it's as if he doesn't know that his comments are being recorded.

He contradicts himself week after week, man. Doesn't matter as he doesn't answer to anyone and has still got a sizeable fan club.
-
Sometimes you don't even need 40 points.
-
He'll always blame a sending off for a defeat even if we were looking toothless anyway, just to add to the list.

I'm not disagreeing with the whole post but I disagree with the bit in bold, in a sense. He gets 20 minutes here and there while other players get 20 games regardless of output, if Ben Arfa had been played at every opportunity then he'd have had the best goals and assists record at the club last season, Remy-aside. Even if he had been a bit floaty and inconsistent, he'd have outperformed the players who kept him out of the team. I've been watching this for 3 years and am fucking fed up with the "play well, play not so well (like everyone else), get dropped for ages" cycle, and I'm sure he is too.
-
What a massive shock that you feel this way.
-
 Pardew pushing for Sissoko to be played central midfield. He picks the fucking team!
-
Polite nod.
-
It's a really daft table IMO.
-
I can't see him moving either. Sissoko must have played 90%+ of his games here second striker or right wing.
-
We know what's gone on. Ben Arfa was left out of the team, saved Pardew numerous times when he was turned to in desperation, and was then dropped and blamed for our bad form. At worst he's argued with Pardew about style of play and blamed him for results. He's right on both counts. So? It's top flight football, it doesn't compare. Being disciplined is one thing, he's been completely ostracised. The team would be much better with him in it, it's as simple as that. Pardew should find a way to make it work. Instead he's had it in for him since the start. Even small things like benching him for ages and then bringing him back for Man U away just so he could say he's not up to it have been forgotten. Be careful with the last point, that's in "Pards played a blinder" territory.
-
I love it how nobody gave a fuck about his disciplinary problems when he signed and now it's being used as a stick to beat him with, to justify the position of a shite manager who wouldn't give him a look-in when we were getting hammered every week and the alternatives looked hopeless and/or clearly out of position.
-
He's 14 years into his career and can no longer move though.
