Agree tbh, not until he's done more than he has anyway.
-
Ferguson was a tremendous striker, without the injuries I think you'd be talking about him in the safe breath as the likes of Yorke, Sheringham and Wright.
-
Looked decent at the back end of last season, hence the reason why West Ham foolishly spunked most of their transfer budget on him. He's one of the better strikers I've ever seen play for the club, guy was looking like a world beater in the half season before he was sold. Think he'll end up being a Duncan Ferguson type who is impossible to deal with on his day but ends up injured too much.
-
Agreed. He has no technique, no vision, no skills. He is just a big lump who is strong and a bit physical. Its only throw-backs like Dalglish and Allardyce that have kept someone like Carroll a PL player. He had a purple patch for us for a brief spell but he still looked a bang average footballer and in time I reckon he'd have become just another Shola type for us, but without the professionalism and right attitude. 2 shocking posts there. Whatever his weaknesses, he'd walk into our side when fit.

Really good away day today, enjoyed myself. Some right fucking radgies in our crowd mind - big queues outside so we didn't get to our seats until about 5 minutes in and were basically living in a few radgies pockets first half. Half time said to them "Do you have any seats lads cos these are ours so you're not standing here second half" and they disappeared - same radgies were snorting gear off keys out of little baggies in their (our) seats at HT without any intent on hiding it, might be on MOTD. We walked to Plaistow to find a pub afterwards and genuinely had a "GET AHHHHHHHT MY PUB!" moment with a bunch of wannabe Peggy Mitchell cunts - we gladly left and gave them beaming smiles on the way out to rub in their fate that they're going down with a hippo-headed freak in charge, doubt we'd have had bother if we'd drawn or lost, the irony being that they were giving it the "this is ahhhhhh pub/area" shit and I probably live closer to that pub/the ground than they do. Good day out - knew Cabaye would seal the deal the minute the ref gave us a free kick in that position.

I'm not being funny here like but that's rubbish, Anita plays central midfield which is a position Jonas inexplicably hasn't been played in properly for almost 2 years.
-
I can't believe you think this is normal, seriously. It's seemed weird to me all season that Jonas wasn't near the bench, just assumed it was injury / personal issues.
-
According to transfermarkt he was injured from 19th August - 1st October. So he featured versus Man City, got injured, then never featured after his recovery. Suddenly he's just not good enough and doesn't deserve any explanation for having to find another club. OK.
-
He played nearly every game up to the end of last season man.
-
I don't get how though? We told him he'd not play and to find another club. I'm sure he doesn't need to be buttered up. "I know you played nearly every game last season, but you're not getting in my squad anymore and you need to find another club". Aye, nice one. Fucking Obertan's getting minutes. Like SEMTEX says, he's been told to shift him on - the least he could have done was treat the player with respect.
-
You're clearly a top chap and an ace poster, so I don't know why you seem to be deliberately missing the point. It's not an unjustified stick to beat Pardew with, he's blatantly handled it poorly and not only do I not like that, but I doubt it has done wonders for the morale of the squad to see a nice chap like Jonas being treated like a dickhead suddenly after having been an ever-present, for no reason. The most annoying thing about this forum at the minute is "That's just another stick to beat Pardew with", "Any excuse to have a pop" etc - it seems like justified concerns about his management are brushed off with this shite repeatedly at the minute.
-
You know, rather than "Mike says we're done with you now, fuck off m8".
-
Can't recall specifically but maybe Keegan treated them with an element of respect when they were leaving, I'd be surprised if not.
-
SEMTEX is spot-on about this. Real lack of class shown by those at NUFC, shock horror.
-
He never talks about when it's a good time to play a team, like when it was a good time to play Man Utd with their new addiction for losing home games, or a good time to play Arsenal once they'd started wobbling. Fucking emo cunt.
-
"We've lost our last 4 and in 3 of those we've been very good". I wonder which one of West Brom and Cardiff he reckons we were very good in. [/dissecting Pards quotes to fuel agenda]
-
Yep, it's very unlike him.

Oh shit. -
So if your manager at work just told you to fuck off and you asked why, you would expect nothing less? "Well on the wages they're on..." etc.
-
Harsh as fuck that like.
-
Fucking hell - "Ireland, Kuqi". OK mate.
-
The last time we were in a similar position, i.e. somewhat safe (although nowhere near as comfortable) with no chance of the Champions League, we sold our best striker and brought nobody else in.
-
Not sure there's much in that mind, some of last January's signings would have ended up coming in on frees if we weren't in danger.
-
I think he was trying to make a broader point about how failing managers are percieved by fans. Ah, fuck it.
