will probably be overwhelmingly everyone thinks we'll lose every week but hey sounds good to me Really good idea IMO, maybe split it into win by 1 goal / 2 goals / 3 goals +, etc. Would be interesting to see and maybe even plot against the real table. -
Make your life more difficult?

That's nice. ? -
Agree with those saying he'll leave for around £15m, if Arsenal are willing to pay that much.
-
The club probably pays for the signage, so we'll be effectively paying out club money to be associated with such a prestigious brand. Haven't seen any talk or evidence of a penny of Sports Direct's going into the club.

Putting this thread on AVOID today.

He certainly seems to play much better centrally whenever i've seen him. I'd like to see him given his chance centrally but Cabaye and Sissoko are just ahead of him in the pecking order at the moment. If Cabaye does go then he's a definite starter for me in a 433. I'd prefer him centrally too but he can't get a game there and it sticks in the throat to see him on the bench when we're creating next to nothing. -

Marveaux really shouldn't have had that shocker away at Everton last year, it's the only time I remember him playing on the wing that season and has led to manager and fans deciding he's shit on the wing and belongs on the bench instead. -
He's injured for a month and we still desperately need 2 more players.

The fuck? Can't beat a pie and a pint. Heartburn on a plate. You're drinking pints wrong, neesy!

Not sure what I spend on baccy and beer has anything to do with the finances of a Premier League football club in any case. I reckon it's probs a bit different.

Nothing to do with the conversation we are having about the Carroll money mind but You don't have to go back long to find the club being praised on here for its set up of bringing in players, the same people who are kicking off right now no doubt, and the same people praising them in January. Arsenal-aside, in recent years we're the only club in the Premier League that on the whole never spend more than we bring in. I'll always have a problem with that. That statement really makes me wonder how your personal economy is for some reason. WTF. And I'm not expecting Ashley to bankroll us, he took money out of the club in the last financial year and is refusing to spend increased TV money right now.

Patience. Ashley has been at the club for 6 years and we're treading water at best.

I don't even have an en suite and I'll end up watching us get hammered on telly, FML. -
We desperately need those 2 players (striker and winger) though, or else we're going to see a lot more of Shola and Jonas again this year, yet we've hummed and harred and talked wank in the press about how difficult it is to sign players. Of course people will be pissed off when they see other clubs getting on with making signings.
-
As usual, it's a choice between spending nothing (yes, that's NOTHING) at the most in terms of net expenditure over the course of Ashley's tenure, and spending fucking fortunes, putting the final nail in the coffin of a once great club as they become the next Leeds/Portsmouth/Coventry. There's no such thing as moderate spending each and every window to improve the squad and not leave massive gaps all over it. It's one extreme or the other. Bankruptcy or ridiculously over-zealous prudence, pick your side on this forum and make sure you stick to it.

You must be in dreamworld right now.

Scum? Borstal kids, pools balls in socks, racism and raping the bum, standard 80's fare. Oh right yeah, the film.

Come back when your hero gets something right at the club, he's on a right roll at the minute.

Steve Bruce seems like a nice enough bloke tbh.
