Think he took about £11m last year, would imagine that would continue to happen while we're profitable. Woo hoo.

*Away matches. Banner will be more questionable at home games, granted. -
Slimy cunt's making me seriously consider changing my reading glasses for fear of similarity.

Banner encapsulates the mood perfectly, don't know/care if the kid who made it is a knacker or not. I'm far from wanting to go to watch us live any time soon and hopefully won't be for a while, but if and when I crumble and go back I'd be keen to point out that it'll be to support the team I've always supported, whilst also being mightily fucked off about who owns the club and the way he goes about running it. Anyway, nice to see we scored a few goals tonight. Fog on the styñe is all myñe, all myñe. -
Shit did I just describe the Ancelotti system then? I thought the Ancelotti system was a diamond with 2 out-and-out strikers.
-
. I think you're absolutely right, that's how I would go with current personnel.
-
So this is all because Moke hopes America win the World Cup? I take it back then, my Moke sympathy is at an all time high. Poor fella. Thoughts are with you, partner.
-
Well no, but your reasoning is wooly at best. You're basically saying 4-3 but you want to pretend 4-0 so that the question goes away.
-
Enough said then. Was trying to help you help yourself there, Mike.
-
I'd rather we won 4-0, because it would be crazy to see us score four goals in 90 minutes. Eh, we'd score 4 goals in both of those scenarios.
-
Oh I don't think he's very good like, harmless enough character though.
-
Question for Moke and the other traitors: Would you rather we beat Sunderland 4-0 or beat them 4-3 and Altidore got a hatrick?
-
"And won't" is optimistic given what we've seen in recent weeks. Nobody has a clue what will happen. Pissing off the fans seems to be a bonus. I do think Reid's an alright bloke though, you'd be daft to call him an arsehole when you look at how many unsavory characters are involved in football these days.
-
Well you should maybe have said that in your original post, since it's the only relevant point. Not being funny like, I don't think he's a total cunt either. Who cares.
-
Poisonous owner, club's become poisonous. Bad shit keeps happening. Surprise surprise.

Agreed. I've met one Sunderland supporter in my entire life, and she was a woman in her fifties that had complete control over the marks for one of my courses. We were hardly going to have an antagonistic relationship. Most of the people I know who follow football in Nigeria and US could not pick out Sunderland from Stoke. Boring useless team who play rubbish football, who cares. Even in London, most people I talked to couldn't name a single player on their team. It has been the same in Italy. Sunderland are just completely and utterly irrelevant. I've gained hatred over the years because of how they act about the derby match, and the vitriol from all parties during that match every season, but it will never rival the deep feelings of disgust every time I see Manchester United play. England seems to have the most local-fan sensible kickoff times of any big league. I understand that isn't the case with prices, but that was inevitable as the game grew. How so? There have been numerous occasions of NUFC games in London or Brighton or wherever being rescheduled for 12.45, that's unacceptable. Plus the fixtures get rescheduled at such short-notice sometimes that it has massive ramifications in terms of travel and accomodation costs. It's not a huge deal for me since I either go home for the weekend to catch a home match or go to an away game near my flat in London, but a lot of people get the piss taken out of them constantly with this stuff, all in the name of TV.

Should be nowhere near our club, which is the point. Let's dig up Margaret Thatcher and put her on the board, really round off the Geordie-popular personnel.
-
Ashley has done a great job generating revenue. For a mid-table team. Which is this club's ceiling at the moment, and something nobody should be satisfied with. He's done an awful job generating revenue actually, he's done a good job minimising costs though.
-
i.e. I couldn't care less about Jozy Altidore but I'm surprised at the way you lot are carrying on about it. He plays for Sunderland, I hope he hits the corner flag every time he shoots.

I just mean in general there seems to have been an attitude that we need to get American fans on board with the sport of football like it makes any difference to the fact that it's the global popular sport regardless of whether you're interested or not. Also, English fans should always be regarded as 100 times more important than foreign fans of Premier League football, however money talks and we're increasingly seeing that not being the case with kick off times, etc. Fans of English clubs that reside in this country and actually attend games will always be the lifeblood of the sport. The Premier League have already changed the game from a working class game to more of a middle class one and if they take the piss enough then teams will be playing in front of half-empty grounds. At least I hope they will anyway, it's what the PL deserves the way they carry on.
-
Tbh as much as I hate American fans being full of their own self-importance when it comes to the Premier League, you can't moan about us not maximising our revenue under Ashley and be happy with us not pushing ourselves in the increasingly lucrative foreign markets.

Do people think it's advantageous to get signings in for the start of pre-season or is it over-played? If it's advantageous why do we rarely bother doing so and in the instance of this pre-season, why have we put a self-imposed delay on matters with Kinnear's holiday?
