  1. On Tapatalk, the first character of people's posts is getting missed off now and then, i.e. you can't see it, it'll say "ecause" instead of "Because". Thought it was a bunch of typos then noticed it on one of my own posts, went to edit it and I hadn't missed anything off. Might just be Tapatalk like.

Couple of people on here said it. proof then some see it as a flimsy excuse so have defaulted to N'zogbia as the last flimsy excuse. Insomnia didn't want an improved contract.

  5. Bit of a tongue twister there.
  6. Has anyone actually seen Carlton Cole's Crystal Palace contract?
  7. It wasn't too bad until we sold Milner and replaced him with 2 shit nobodies. Still needed more players. People are forgetting Guthrie btw.

The people running the show at Newcastle are geet canny lads and probably did offer a compromise, it's just a shame that Cisse has stubbornly insisted on COKE, SLAGS AND POKER on his shirt or they can go fuck themselves.

What should we be blasting Wonga for? Just existing? Erm, yes? They exist and they're s***. They're also sponsoring us. Right, but that's kind of a given. You can't really 'blast' a company for existing. I don't like them, but they aren't breaking any laws and moral judgement on them is subjective at best. We're not likely to force out a sponsor by objecting to it, and I doubt strength of feeling would be strong enough anyway. Nobody should be blasting Cisse either mind. What do you mean you can't blast a company for existing? You sort of can when their entire existence is that they are a f***ing modern day loan shark, but that's besides the point. Instead of directing the focus on Cisse's hypocrisy direct it on what a s*** odious company Wonga are and how his moral or religious beliefs are perfectly reasonable. If anything is going to force some action from either Mike or Wonga it's the latter, a character assassination against Cisse just strengthens their position. if his beliefs are perfectly reasonable surely he'd refuse the barclays logo aswell ? Are you on repeat?

What has Cisse directly said? Why is it his place to come out publicly or sort out the situation beyond telling the club he's not happy about it? This is the sort of thing a club needs to sort out and the sort of situation we generally let escalate to our detriment.

Yeah, what Dave said. Club still getting the benefit of the doubt in times of ambiguity, ambiguity which they create by not saying anything.

To be fair it was reported almost from day one that we'd have a problem with the Muslim players over this. Cisse was consistently mentioned. Best I could find on google (from 1/9/2012 to 1/6/2013) was a few articles from the start by local clerics/imams about it, usual daily mail troublemaking although I think there was a telegraph article in there too. Nothing actually from the players themselves. And then radio silence. I reserve the right to be disappointed in him for leaving it to the 11th hour to start this. Or he's made his feelings known for a while and the club have left it until the 11th hour to... erm... do nothing? You know what the people running the club are like man, they haven't got a clue.

Debate would be weighted far more in Cisse's favour if he'd scored 25 goals last year btw. Then again we'd probs get loads of money for him then. Yeah, forget it.

Because the club have done fuck-all about it, presumably hoping it would blow over.

I don't think it's natural to start foaming at the mouth calling players they once adored greedy judas cunts as soon as they get into a dispute with the pricks running the club or look like they might leave, no. Would say that's pretty extreme behaviour.

Because ultimately - rightly or wrongly - people will defend the club ahead of any player, despite how previously popular they may be. Even if the club is rotten to the core and run by absolute c***s with no morals. Except its not in the clubs favour if he's hounded out. I quite agree, but it's the same any time a player is looking like they might leave for any reason. They transform into greedy/hypocritical/shit bastards almost overnight. The club have it so easy it's unreal. 100 per cent. It's like clockwork.
  18. Hearing Bob Sloane of Wallsend Boys Club has passed away. Not sure if anyone on here will have known him but he was a lovely man. RIP.

I agree, but the fans do fuck all these days. Same goes with the results, pardew, all the other shit, the fans just turn up and Ashley doesn't care. Wonga are a shit company, so are SD, Pardew is a shit manager, Kinnear a fucking loon it goes on and on...Cisse isn't helping things, if he's that bothered hoy in a TR and let us all move on. What his game is I haven't got a clue, don't really care, i just want him playing next season or him off the books and new strikers in willing to play for the club. Without players willing to play we are completely fucked. This just reminds me of when Keegan sued the club and people were delighted when he wanted to take £20m off us, yeah, that is really going to help. Madness man. Keegan had every right to sue the arseholes who fucked him over and regarding your other post I drew the line at legalised loansharks, as did you and many others. It doesn't mean I'll stop watching football like, but it was another kick in the balls I wasn't happy with. Same as you, I won't wear the logo and am disgusted at us yet again. The fact we are having problems because of it now is yet another reason to detest the decision.

Who has defended Wonga? For me its about wanting what is best for the club, ans what is best is Cisse drops this so we can move on. Season starts in a month ffs and this is still hot topic and that is down to Cisse no one else. The club are defending an odious company like Wonga by insisting a player wears the sponsor despite his moral/religious protestations otherwise. We haven't simply jumped into bed with them, we're now in the business of defending their commercial interests and reputation too. Shouldn't have agreed the deal in the first place.

I was pissed off when Wonga were announced as sponsor and this standoff is ultimately another consequence of that as far as I'm concerned, no matter what your theory on the situation is. Even if you're on board with the theory that he's being opportunistic and wants away then he'd be gone or on the transfer list by now if it wasn't for that piece-of-shit glorified loanshark. If he's a genuine problem with it then the bad effects are obvious and we're stuck in this stupid situation effectively without a decent goalscorer on the books. Sad times when our great club are defending the reputation and interests of a company like that.

He'll offend the general Muslim community (the one he's trying to protect from the very bad wonga) by being in a casino. How is he trying to protect the Muslim community? . Aha.
