  1. Forster looks like that gadgee who fell down a big hole in Stranger Things.
  2. "Have you ever seen a mackem in Milan?" getting an airing
  3. I'm the same place I was when we signed him. I still don't rate him particularly highly based on what I've seen, but hope and somewhat trust the people at the club knew what they were doing. The other £30m+ players we've signed have been game-changing and it's probably not fair to expect that of Gordon yet. I'm still trying to work out what he's especially good at though, too often he just plays the safe ball imo. I do like his workrate off the ball.
  4. Christ, it's very evident there's been no drama at the club for a while, the way some people have latched on to this. It's nowt.
  5. Football's dead funny these days.
  6. whatever it is, it's not me. Maybe @Optimistic Nut?
  7. Man Utd chipping away at our goal difference advantage. Worrying.
  8. I've not seen any evidence yet that Potter knows how to play a system with an actual striker who scores goals, I guess we'll see in years to come whether it was just a quirk in his first few years but atm it seems very fucking weird
  9. Knows the receptionist. Knows the words to Blue Is The Colour. Knows cockney rhyming slang.
  10. Knows where the loos are. Knows the kit colour. Can fill in as stadium security on weeknights once they're out of the Champions League.
  11. Already has the training ground saved in his Sat Nav man, he's a step ahead.
  12. Lampard will be Brucily signing the contract, saying "kin ell!"
  13. Massively peeved at that lineup since Isak is my FF captain. Sometimes it seems like managers don't even care about that. I thought Eddie was different.
  14. O'Neill is an experienced firefighter in the same way Bruce Forsyth is an experienced entertainer.
  15. You'd think the required total will be a bit less than average this year. No 1 or 2 sides marooned at the bottom dishing out points to everyone, our rivals all a bit flaky etc. Points are being distributed more evenly, or so it seems. I guess the top 2 not being as formidable as recent years might affect matters a touch, if they're dropping points our rivals pick up.
  16. Yeah he was quite patronising there, continuing the Man Utd tone from yesterday. "Longstaff and Willock are good players and they're good lads, but the Man Utd midfield shouldn't be getting overran by them". I'm happy with people continuing to underestimate us but it is annoying when professional pundits are that lazy yet speak with so much conviction about a subject they're clearly not on top of.
  17. Serious answer, I sort of choose my battles putting it on the big telly. I don't want her having to watch football all the time. We'll watch all NUFC games together on big telly but happily she pure loves the toon these days, having not really seen much football before we met. Other than that maybe a game a week on the big telly, depends on the schedule. And I'll watch a few on a laptop when she's watching something else. And it's on constantly whenever she's out
  18. Yes my wife happily lets me watch football endlessly, and all of my friends' wives are the same. Will that do for you mate? Hope all is well.
  19. Btw quite a few of us said Potter was daft to take that job, and quite a few disagreed. Wonder if he'll go back to trackies for his next job after raiding Reiss when he got the Chelsea job.
  20. Why don't Chelsea just ask Brighton who they'd replace De Zerbi with and skip a step, save some money?
