I struggle to knock it tbh, especially if he genuinely loves the club. He could go somewhere else, hit a bad patch and be sat on the bench. At least Spurs are always somewhat challenging as well.

SSN said yesterday Kane was keen to sign a new deal.

Just noticed only 1 team in the current top 8 have ever won the European Cup / Champions League.

Fantasy Premier League (2025/26) N-O League join code in OP

I've been much the same with Newcastle players on Fantasy Football but for many years it was very easy not to include any because we were shit. Double NUFC defence is essential this year and so was Almiron, although I'm giving him a few more games til I drop to bench or get rid. -

It's not connected, lads -
Fernandes trying to ref the game as usual.

Brilliant goal by Rashford.

Yo dawg we heard you like Brighton players...

I'm quite surprised as he is a superb big fat shield for the board atm and they'll be clueless who to recruit.

Other than Burn playing the whole season ahead of Targett, the biggest surprise in team selection for me at this stage is Longstaff playing every single game. Not that I'm slagging off Longstaff who does a vital amount of running and dirty work for the side. However I'd like to see a midfield of Bruno-Joelinton-Willock at some point, to open up another space in the front 3 for ASM or Isak. Do we think Howe is worried there isn't enough balance in that midfield three? Could it work alright? Obviously ASM or Isak will cover less defensively than Almiron/Joelinton do when they're the wingers.

Agree that's a point gained but even in that game we had prolonged periods we were on top but created nowt. It's more the games against the likes of Leeds and Palace I'm on about though, aye Sometimes teams sit back and we struggle.

3 0-0s in our last 4 is a bit concerning like. We dominated the game today but didn't create any real gilt-edged chances. Not sure if the priority this window needs to be an AM who unlocks defences or a winger who chips in with goals and assists, but suspect we'll need at least one of the two if we want to retain our position. We're going to experience quite a few more games like this otherwise.

Bruno's crocodile tears last week an attempt to lull Palace and the rest of the PL into a false sense of security. -
Like a new signing

Stadium announcer saying there is homophobic chanting, it's an illegal offence, they need to stop and CCTV will be checked etc.

this still pops into my head loads.

Good luck to him. Played an important role in our resurgence, good pro, seems a sound bloke. Think he was just a bit overwhelmed by the size of the club tbh, and the pressure that comes with that. Reckon he'll get back to his 8-10 goals a season at another PL club that's a bit more low key.
-
Any small good Bruce may have done for the club he did it for himself, to prolong the mediocrity he was overseeing and increase his own bank balance. Have zero respect for him, you'd think he'd shut the fuck up now Howe has shown him up to be such a talentless charlatan.

Was also the peak of my alcoholism, watched 80% of that match in the fucking concourse -
One of my favourite goals ever. Watched it at my grandma and granda's house, I will have been 9. Not sure if it was that goal or another but there was one goal we scored, the living room erupted and my grandma got a proper shock and started choking on her dinner Adored that Beardsley/Cole partnership. Was spoiled watching Keegan's teams at that age.

Oh good, Andy Hinchcliffe can tell us everything the players should be doing differently. he's already fucking started.

He brought with him a very exciting football style which has shaken up the league completely, and initially seemed quite personable and carefree and a bit mad. I liked him to start with, think he's a prick now.
