Tuchel is doing a pretty crap job at Chelsea. They have spent a fortune on attacking talent in recent years and Tuchel can't get consistent returns out of any of them. Only finished 3rd last year because the sides behind them were so inconsistent, and they're boring. He's living off a CL run which wasn't particularly impressive either. Still it's the Champions League. Declan Rice - nah I'm still not getting it. Think I'll forever be living in another dimension while the hype rains down on this bloke.

Far bigger and fancier names than Southgate didn't get us near a final post-96. It's a huge over-simplification to say get Mancini or someone in and we'll win the thing. I'd choose Southgate every day at the moment when the alternative is rolling the dice on another manager. Southgate has transformed the mentality and the ethos of the squad and beyond. We could be playing far more exciting football, definitely. I don't love watching the team and I personally do think there's a better way to play, with the players that we have. But hacking away at games and getting results was far too often not in the national makeup pre-Southgate. Like it or not, the last 2 tournaments have been huge successes for England given how shite we've been for much of the last 60-odd years. He's doing something right and while he's getting to the final 4 of competitions he deserves another crack at it.

I mean I am not his biggest fan, and tbh I totally agree he fucked the Euros final. And is far too negative generally. But a semi final and a final in his last 2 attempts, I think he's earned the right to manage us for a few more games lads

Well done, it's League One

We were faultless tonight like. Couldn't believe how quickly we got the ball back off Arsenal first half, and how we dominated possession. Then in the second half with less possession we opened them up a few times and never looked in much danger ourselves. Very exciting times to follow NUFC now, almost forgot what this was like after a decade or so of darkness. Amazing turnaround from Howe, staff and players.

Brilliant few minutes on BT Sport there They were interviewing Howe and Rio Ferdinand tried to get him to say the fans' expectations could be a problem, ( ) Howe wasn't having it and then Jake Humphrey went on a monologue about fans' expectations being too high being a myth. Later he said there'll be people "sniping from the sidelines" about the fans, but it's all rubbish basically. Ferdinand was just stood there glaring at him

We were better first half but it was scrappy. Second half they utterly bored the whole ground to death by keeping the ball endlessly and doing fuck-all with it. We didn't have an answer til right at the death so I'd put it down as a flukey win but not because they were particularly impressive.

Hope he's good enough to be with us til he's owld and grey. A classy representative of our club who takes responsibility for everything NUFC, big and small. Such a welcome contrast to many of the horrible conmen who came before him.
