Yep. Scandalous price for someone who has had about 8 good games in 2 and a half years. Also a scandalous price for someone who came through our own academy. Not when we'd be up by £20m which has been spent on some good players. -

I'd still have him back, not a lot's changed for me. He was never worth £35m but he's got a lot of ability about him. -
I have some news for you about David Moyes, I'll tell you once you let me know what it's been like living under a rock for the last few weeks.

I'd love to know why he does this every window. Same exact speech every time too. Managing and lowering expectations of morons that lap this up and think we need to sell all the time. Yep, it was used to sugar-coat last summer's inactivity until the daft pleb realised he couldn't win a game without signing a few players and started pointing fingers.

Disagree, the statement will be along the lines of how disappointed they are with the season, but that that they believe in stability and Pardew has earned one more chance. I was joking like, we'll see though. Could go either way, nobody knows what the nutter running the show is thinking.

Especially when numerous hours are devoted to PSE and General Studies and the like, could just bung this sort of stuff on the end of that syllabus.

Just telling it like it is.

Reading between the lines of that he's definitely gone IMO.

neesy's right like, a bit of brainwashing in school would do some kids the world of good. I was meant to be vaguely bright and it didn't stop me being shit with money when I went to University. Would have been nice to have had a few tips and preparation at least.

Find it difficult to accept that the club will do horrible shit then milk the publicity for all they can get when they reverse it, but I'll take it.

Tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny NUFC.

Agree, you can play a mixed game. His link-up play is great when he's on song. -
I'm not asking why people think that. I'm asking what motivation there is for Pardew to do it. It's also that opp manages do summat at half time and he doesn't know what happenned or how to respond... Fully agree with that like. Makes much more sense than Pardew doing a tactical 180. Eh, I thought it was because the players shit themselves, is it definitely a combination of those 2 things and not anything Pardew's instructed? The panic comment was directed more at the poorer defenders who choose to start hoofing it as soon as we come under some pressure. It's a combination of dozens of things no doubt. I just don't think Pardew gets them in at nowts each and says "right lads, forget the first half, I want you to sit 20 yards deeper and I never want more than one man in the opposition half" and it's a daft criticism to be pointed at him. Rank incapability, is one thing, but actually instructing the team to stop playing as well as they have been is a silly notion. It's not really as simple as "don't play as well" though really, it's more about forgetting the idea of vaguely enterprising/threatening football and holding on to what you have. I saw it at West Ham, 60-70 minutes in and Ben Arfa/Gouffran were off for Shola/Gosling and we were holding on for a draw at the expense of any attacking intent. We could have ended up losing after not looking in danger for the vast majority of the game. My view is that that comes from the bench, and it's horribly inept management.
