Beckham's performance against Greece in that qualifier was unbelievable. None of the other 10 England players turned up that day but he was like a man possessed.
-
PL stadium. Stupid rule.
-
Arteta wasn't a deep lying #6, was he? Certainly not like the others, he was always a huge goal threat at Everton anyway.
-
Yeah they need to stockpile a few more attacking midfielders like.

My (other) brother was there, said it was an absolute joke getting in. Lots of bottlenecks on the way in and they had to rip off netting that covered 3 rows or else they couldn't work out how everyone was going to fit in. -

If you ever needed confirmation our squad is nowhere near good enough, this was it. Needs improving, desperately. -

Love Isak, like. -
Plus we had significant periods where we were on top in the game. It was a similar split of pressure to us at Liverpool earlier on this season. Maybe 65% Arsenal 35% us. They were the home side. A lot of people being duped by the first 5 minutes and the last 10 minutes into thinking Arsenal were hugely dominant. They weren't.

RIP. Great player and seemed a real gent.

I want Chelsea to win like. City are our nearest competitors and I don't see Chelsea putting a run together that allows them to gain on us. I'm far more concerned about Man Utd, then Liverpool, then Spurs.

Agreed. God rest your soul.

I've got zero Chelsea players cos any of them I bring in always piss me off. They don't have a reliable goalscorer and James is made of glass. Saying that I might bring in Kepa next so I can rotate with Ward rather than having double-Leicester. -
Chelsea strategy seems to be look at the tabloid rumours page, find the players it says the clubs are holding out for a high fee for, then offer significantly more than the rumoured current bid.

For me it's telling how upset Arteta was last night. A point against the team in 3rd wasn't a bad result for them, and still leaves them in a brilliant position. Says to me he is worried about the wheels falling off.
-
We're not even that bad like The fouling was tit for tat first half, ref got a good few of ours wrong including Joelinton's yellow card. Arsenal were easily as guilty as us of momentum-breaking fouls. Some of our players do sometimes have a little sit down when they're feeling a bit delicate, unfortunately that breaks the other team's momentum a bit sometimes but it's a stressful sport. Need a sit down sometimes, innit.

Fantastic performance, good result. Agree with Howe we could have been better with the ball today but Arsenal make that difficult. Murphy and Wood cannot be our options off the bench going forward. That needs sorted, and we need an upgrade on Longstaff for the first team.
-
Won't that make him the 3rd most expensive player ever?
-
Because they already have way more money than they could ever spend?
-
if he doesn't feel he has earnt the right to put football before money at this stage then it's really quite pathetic imo. He's already worth about half a billion dollars (Google).
-
A good point, shows our progress. Tbf to Leeds though they matched us first half yesterday imo, I was fairly impressed. Our 2nd half dominance was probably a combination of us pushing for the win and them prioritising not leaving with nowt, but first half I did think Leeds tried to have a go.
-
It annoys the fuck out of me like. Chelsea started all of this crazy spending when the Russian came in, largely kept at it, made a mockery of the loan system, got bailed out (again) and now they're hoovering up players we might want at way above the going rate. Not once have they had to face the consequences of their spending, other than the transfer ban when they already had a world class squad sitting there.

Jesus, 72 points in 36 games. Assuming a win and a draw in an additional 2 that would be 76 over 38 games. Just checked and 76 points was enough to win the fucking league ffs in 6 of the 27 seasons (22%) since the PL became a 20 team league
