The thing is with Guthrie, he's came into the team and outperformed Cabaye on most occasions. You look at how Pardew stuck with Ryan Taylor and Obertan when they hadn't necessarily put in such accomplished performances on the whole, yet Guthrie's straight out of the team at the first opportunity. Wolves game was clearly him taking the huff and losing focus, which ain't good at all, but he's probably got bogged down in all that. I think Pardew made the right decision to play Cabaye and Tiote btw, whether he could have fit in Guthrie as well I'm not sure.

Jenas had a lot of potential as a 19 year old, particularly during that patch when he scored 6 or 7 goals. Lua Lua I can''t defend. Surely a character like Simpson would benefit more from something along the lines of "Danny's been a consistent player for us since I arrived. Like anyone else in the squad though he needs to continue improving and earn his place. Especially given that we've 4 players competing for the full back spots at the minute and we're on an upward trajectory as a club, therefore we're always looking at bringing in new players". He needs a kick up the arse if anything, the quotes from Pardew just reinforce the idea that he'll be in the side no matter what and ignore some poor performances. There's no chance of Simpson getting dropped and Simpson knows it.

Yep, they're the only 2 options alright.

Danny Simpson's having a terrific season and there's no chance we'd be 6th without him in the side though.
-
Definitely.

Is it not just to avoid using the word foreigners perhaps? Don't see a problem with it like, he says way more irritating stuff than that on a regular basis.

You going to the match today, Ronaldo? Just wondering if we'll get any respite in the near future.

I was always with Disco on this, but can understand people feeling a bit emotional. If a lot of the players were a wreck it'd be a no-brainer the other way of course. -
Suspected heart attack on the pitch, received treatment, carried off on a stretcher, matched abandoned, rushed to hospital. No news for 2 hours with everyone suspecting the worst, then news that he's in a stable condition in hospital.

Will follow his story closely, bless him and fingers crossed.

Amazing if he pulls through this, would be very encouraging stuff.

As I say I don't believe John Fashanu because he's an absolute fruitloop.

Tbf the videos aren't showing the incident I don't think, rather the aftermath. I've just sat and watched that on my laptop, not sure there's a huge difference.

Noticed that when I Google-news'ed it. Some people stoop so low man, terrible.

? Far too early to say and not sure if it would be the right choice even if the worst has happened. Let's see what happens first anyway. -
Ah man.
-
Yes! Ah, that's cool if he did them at his other clubs, never even thought about it. Presumed he stumbled on it while at Newcastle then kept trying it when it worked.

If Sunderland were a Mexican food brand they'd be Old El Classo.
-
If Sunderland were an agency of the United States government that is responsible for the nation's civilian space program and for aeronautics and aerospace research they'd be CLASSA.

If Sunderland were an actor they'd be Michael Classbender.
