That was fucking rock Really enjoyable again though, thanks nees.

Yup. The problem with this though is that you then have 6 months to play with at the start of 2023 and are delaying the dilemma. Plus I hope by some miracle FIFA are held accountable for this bollocks and the Qatar World Cup won't end up happening.

Said this before but I'd finish this season then restructure the league next season so there are less fixtures, e.g. Split the leagues in 2 as a one-off and perhaps have some play offs at the end for added interest. Then if there aren't any further outbreaks you'd potentially be back to normal after that.

Works for me, nees

Remember the touch line reporter saying Ginola was furiously shouting "why won't they let me play football?" as he went off, and 12 year old me thinking "omg our left winger is a proper tortured soul poetic genius, it's so sad".

Liverpool vs NUFC - 03/04/96 - Live on Sky Sports PL 7.30pm tonight

Also our home form wasn't the issue in 95/96. 5 points dropped all season. IIRC we almost expected to win all of our home games but our away form wasn't quite good enough, particularly after Christmas. So not sure home wins were giving us that much of a lift when we knew there was a good chance we'd let ourselves down away. -
So good, that And fair play to the keeper for his part

I wouldn't mind seeing the whole 90 minutes again personally, for the first time in nearly 25 years. Result aside it's still a reminder of when we were good. -
Can remember me and my brothers playing football in Newcastle airport when on the way to Majorca or somewhere. Was around the time that Nike advert was out, we must have been annoying the fuck out of everyone

I mean they've always paid their wages. Who gives SKY the money to throw at the league? Who gives the money to the advertisers to throw at the league? Deep.
-
It's the fact taxpayers will be paying these wages now, when the clubs are loaded. Goes for a lot of businesses though, too weighted in favour of owners/shareholders.
-
It’s brilliant - loved it - thought I was.quite clued up on wor Diego but this added a few extra details to my memory bank - shame they turned on him after 1990 They way they turned on him after 1990 was ridiculous. He was playing for his country FFS. What's he meant to do, miss on purpose? I thought the way they framed that was strange. Fair enough if that's really the reason he was turned on, however it seemed to me his main crime was trying to convince Napoli fans to support Argentina in the run-up to the match

What a huge loss to football.

That's because he usually gets sacked first. You're shit.
