I'm very much of the belief that the table doesn't lie. So if we don't make top 4, we've not been good enough and so I'll find it somewhat easy to make peace with that. Just common sense I suppose. But, I did think everything was lining up nicely for us to to do great things in the final stretch. So just slightly gutted we're making a hard job of it.

Remember two weeks ago when we were scoring for fun. Joelinton started banging them in. Isak and Wilson both on form. Murphy scoring every game just about. I remember thinking the timing was perfect. Coming into free-scoring form with 5 games to go. Going from that to not being able to score in open play. The reason? Senior Longstaff's ankle. Couldn't write it.

I think it's more than fair for our fans to be worried. It's been ingrained in us for decades. Just like the mentality of the players takes time to change, it will for us too. I was hoping this game with be the 1pt of our 7pts needed. Womp.

Every pundit seems to think we've cemented top4. Their confidence inspires mine, for about all of 3mins

Personally I would prefer our 'purple' signings, around 40m like Bruno and Sven, to be somewhat ready-made. Especially this early into new ownership. I'm not sure it was the right time to sign him, but it is what it is. Hopefully the pre-season does him well.

Wonder if we'll see Isak and Wilson start together before the season done. For as long as Longstaff is out, Isak is clearly our best option at LW. Not that it matters but it'd be fun to see.
