Aye, I think I was there to see it. Fucking same guy got nearly torn out by a double decker bus opposite Haymarket a few minutes later.
-
Did you go up to him and tell him that you have family who live on R. Sorocaba street and give him a guard of honour as he entered the Premier store?
-
Fuck me, I think I was there then. Was it after we beat Man City under Rafa?
-
From my experience, the vast majority of them are the people who left on the 80th minute.

On the day where they played Sheffield United in a game where no one watching on TV could identify which side of the stadium belonged to which supporters, this man was getting approached by many people, included foreign people who immediately recognised that his red and white top was a Sunderland one and not a Sheffield United one and started saying how they have relatives in Sunderland suburbs. Aye right, and I travelled to Botafogo and was getting pulled up by everyone saying how they have family members in Killingworth and Shiremoor.

I’m not being funny, but Sunderland is widely known for as the place who first voted for Brexit despite it being potentially devastating considering the largest employer in Wearside is only there for access to the EU. More lately they are associated with the riots after the Southport attack. It’s largely considered to be a blight on our landscape by people outside of the reaction. Oh, and Newcastle United’s owners only gets traction from fans of other clubs, people generally couldn’t give a single fuck about it, and don’t use it to generalise the population of a city.

Aye, but I think there is going to be some people with some severe injuries, if they survive.

SSN trying to claim that there is 1m people out for the Liverpool parade. Get to fuck man, looks nowt like it.

Villa have only cared about PSR since Emery came in and they realised that if they tried, they could be a force in the Premier League. It’s weird, in general I wished them well in Europe this season, without watching them to win it. It was good for their fans to have that Bayern match, progress out of League stage of the competition etc. Once it became clear last season that we wouldn’t get a Champions League slot, most Newcastle fans actually wanted them to qualify. I can understand them feeling hard done by after yesterday, but them going on the way they are is a total disregard to the fact that other teams have suffered dodgy decisions that have punished them this season*, haven’t Forest had a fair few games where they have had dodgy decision go against them that’s cost them plenty of points? * Aside from Liverpool who will never ever have decisions go against them.

Give over man. He would never come, the fans would never have it, and as soon as he dropped a clanger which he is prone to do, he’d be accused of doing it on purpose, which I’m not confident in saying it wouldn’t be the case. Could you imagine the scenario if he dropped a clanger in the derby like he has done in the Merseyside derby?
-
They get England’s Co-efficient which should give them a tie against a European minnow.
-
There is qualifying rounds, just no English team will be in them.
-
Which makes you worry about Nottingham Forest (although they should get to the later stages of the Conference League regardless), Crystal Palace, and Spurs.

Back to back with someone, walking ten yards in the opposite direction, counting down from 3, and shooting the opposing person. It’s made for some interesting MOTD coverage.

To be fair, I wasn’t advocating for it to be held at Millwall etc. SJP, Etihad, Anfield, Dicks stadium, Spurs’s stadium, London stadium, Emirates, and Old Trafford would all have been big enough without having 40k empty seats.
-
Yeah I get that point. In reality though I’m not a fan of Wembley, I think it’s an overrated stadium. I also think it does nothing but add to the London-centric nature of the country. Everyone must travel to London for anything remotely important. I actually wish the FA sold the stadium to that NFL owner who would have created a London team. It would have been a great chance to reset the stadium situation by to getting the England games and finals held around the country on tour.

Man City and Chelsea are going to the Club World Cup, alongside others in Europe. That’s why we have the 10 day transfer window. I fully expect deals to be made quicker as clubs who have sold to the bigger clubs ahead of the CWC will need to replace their players etc. The merry go round will start sooner rather than later this time.
-
Surely it’s time to realise that Wembley is too big for games like this? I get that it’s probably the only chance these teams get to playing there, but the place is mostly empty. Surely it would be better sharing it around stadiums?
-
Yeah, you essentially get a years worth of parachute payments spread over 3 years, unless you come up in those 3 years in which case they are delayed until you back down until year 5.
-
The thing is those stats prove nothing other than he has talent. I don’t doubt that he does, but what you’re showing there is that he can have a poor game and come up with something within the game. It’s no good popping up with a goal or assist if your overall performance has lead to your team losing 2 goals. Look at this season, he’s scored 8 goals, and assisted 10 times, how’s that worked out for Man Utd in the league?

This. We have struggled to get rid of and replace players who should have left us ages ago. Ritchie, Dummett, we even have Hayden still on our books. We absolutely should not be offering a contract, no matter if it’s a pay as you play deal to someone who has spent the last few years largely on the treatment table, and in the case of this season and towards the end of last season, offering nothing to us on the football pitch and effectively making us a man down. NUFC under Ashley was a charity to players who never questioned his running of the club, and to managers who worked their way into his social circles. This NUFC needs to be what it aims to be, an elite football club that is only open to elite players.
-
This. I’d also say that he is massively inconsistent and lets his head drop too frequently for elite clubs to consider him.
-
It should. I’d image that they will go and look at the wording of that rule and amend it. I always thought that you had to have 2 hands on the ball to be deemed under control. The defence afterwards makes it clear that having 2 hands on the ball isn’t required and it says or, then goes on to explain holding the ball.
-
They will have put on a hefty sell on clause I reckon. I think they benefitted very well when Dortmund sold Jude to Real Madrid.
-
Rigg is out of contract as well isn’t he? So straight away they have potentially lost 3 of their midfielders.
