Been at work all day, any good news for us?
  2. It's been mentioned elsewhere on other fourms with different names going around, and also the rumour that Mike Ashley will sell up. In reality it statred because of a tweet from a local journalist who said NUFC will be holding a press conference today but refused to say for what reason, forgetting that we play Vila this weekend.
  3. I can't see Bristol City letting Maynard going. Forget it there isn't going to be 3 transfers today, unless 3 go out.

Are those signs in the background the ones used at Newcastle airport though?
  5. 3 players and a takeover. The first rule of a joke is that people have to believe it before the punchline comes along.

If he keeps it up none of us will ever have to send £2 a month to them ever again.

We got less than £2 million for Vianna, I don't know if we got a loan fee on top of that. What pissed me off about that loan deal was the fact that we allowed him to play against us in the Uefa Cup.

Like it has been said, hopefully we will be able to meet somewhere in the middle within the 2 weeks of the window left. In an ideal world we would have it all wrapped up by the time we play Villa, but it's not going to happen, a lot of clubs will be in the same position as us and may have to wait untill the final day of the window. How long has the Milner situation gone on for now?, and he has only signed today. Sometimes transfers can happen within a few hours, however it's apparent that both us and OM don't agree with his value or one or both of us are trying to get a better deal for each club. You can see OM's position in playing the waiting game, and you can see our position in trying to get him cheaper regardless of whether or not it is already a good deal or not. Finger crossed we pull it off, if not then lets hope we get someelse who can do the job in instead.

I was using Keane only as an example, fact is it could be any player. I'm not denying the club should invest in the team, I'm just trying to say we shouldn't hate the owner just because we didn't get the very players we wanted.

I don't know, we could stay up but I admit we are in real danger of being a club going down. Yes we need an attacking midfielder, alongside other players but I don't go round saying Ashley is a cunt because he hasn't signed Ben Arfa. At the start of the transfer window I wanted O'Hara, it doesn't look like we are going to get him but I'm not coming on here calling Ashley all the names under the sun for it. That's because you're retarded. If Ashley doesn't sign Ben Arfa then of course he's a cunt. Aye, I guess I am, but where does it stop?, sign Ben Arfa, you will want Keane next, sign Keane you will want Messi after that. I said earlier, a modest investment of £15m this season would be more than enough to give us a side worth watching. Is that really too much to ask? In what way does that mean we want every player under the sun? I never said we want every player under the sun. I just said that you are all calling Ash;ey because he hasn't signed the player YOU want, what happens if he gives in?, you will want another player, and another, and everytime Ashley would be under pressure to buy that player or risk being hated again.

We even have a run off of this thread dedicated to calling Mike Ashley because last night some French bullshit came out he was on his way to Germany. I won't be pleased if we don't get people in that we need, but just because it might not be Ben Arfa isn't a reason to slate Ashley. At the moment we know fuckk all about this transfer saga, we all thought we did but we have been proved wrong on more then one occasion. Basically no one is speaking about what is really going on, not even Arfa himself who took it upon himself to come here on Friday and see if he can force something through. For all we know we could of agreed a purchase fee and it is based upon OM getting players in first. OM themselves have fucked on by coming out with a different story atleast once a day. Anything could happen, but because we know nothing and are taking last nights bullshit for gods word you are all on here calling Ashley for not getting a player YOU want.

So you start off by saying that if Ashley does something good people will think he's a legend, then finish up by saying even if he does something good people will still hate him? Seem to recall people chanting Ashley's name until he fucked up and got the club relegated, and the heat coming off him when he put a bit of cash in and got us promoted. Seems pretty reasonable, fuck up you get grief, do well you get praise. No, if he does something great like won us the League or acup after putting loads of money into the club he would still be failing to sign one player the fans like away from being hated again.

I'm not, all I'm trying to point out is that earlier in this thread people were saying Ashley would go some way to getting himself in their good books again if we signed Ben Arfa, then last night people starting calling him again over rumours that he was on his way to Germany. Seriously people in here say I'm not right in the head, maybe people in here should get checked out because they seem to be a bit schizophrenic.

Fact remains that we still haven't sign him and if we don't Ashley has proven to be a massive cunt, that still remains, The fact also remains that if we do sign him then he will be a legend again, untill the next player people on here want doesn't turn up, then he's that fat Cockney bastard that won't open his wallet. I don't know who is more hated on here, Mike Ashley or the Tories. Ashley could pour in millions, win us the league, FA Cup and everything else on offer, and Cameron could give you all £50k a year tax free, a job for life etc and you would all be able to still hate them both. People on here need to fucking grow up, it's no good going round hating Ashley for not siging the player you want, and it's no good hating Cameron for leading a party who did things 20-30 years ago that you didn't agree with.

Shame they didn't take you with them really. I wouldn't give anyone the satisfaction.

So basically it was bullshit all along?......exactly like I said. Does this now mean that if Ashley pulls this off then he will be a hero again?, does it now mean that those who jumped of the Tyne bridge last night and early this morning have done so for no reason?
  20. It is, come on you stupid Yank, get your wallet out.
  21. David Cameron, oh wait...........I've missread.

Doesn't matter now though unless Ashley pays all upfront, which just insn't going to happen.

Apparently Werder's coach has denied any interest in him.

How? Ashley is a business man, and as soon as things started to get out of hand at the club his "dream of owning a football club" transformed into a plain business plan. He know no matter what he does he will be hated, i mean, can he really regain trust from the fans again? Not a chance. So what was he supposed to do, give up on it and just run with a massive loss? This is my opinion about the HBA deal though, not saying it's correct or anything, it's just MY opinion. I think a real business man only can be pushed to a certain degree before a line need to be drawn. With all these quotes from O'M president etc. that only seemed valid til the next day or so i can see why MA got fed up. Sign the player and please the fans, bending for the "pressure" of O'M, or refuse to play games with them and show other clubs that were not in for that. Even if it is a small amount of money which separates the deal the french have made him look bad, business/public wise. But then you have us, the fans, who demands signings and rightfully so because we all see we need it. So no matter how he would have done i think it was a lose/lose situation for MA and he probably decided that he would see it as a business man instead of pleasing us. Even if we would have signed HBA we would hate Ashley, and by not signing him we will still hate him. Meh, i`m not saying MA is totally blameless in this matter but tbh the french has pretty much toyed around with us probably from the first day knowing that a bid would come in. It was against all logic that no one else would go in for HBA. How is that clappable? He's saying 'meh, if we signed him we would hate Ashley and if we didn't we would hate Ashley'. To be honest, I don't give a fuck about how people feel about Ashley. The guy owns our football club, his own choice, yet he seems oblivious to the fact that you need to spend money to stay in this league. Because he is right. If we signed him then MA would only be hated for the next player we missed out on. It wasn't that long ago a few of you on here were praising him for signing Gosling saying he could be a decent player for us, and also praising him for getting Campbell in saying he has the experience we need.
