A poor game for us but a big win. Cabaye was pretty poor before he went off, how Guthrie got MOM is beyond me, half of his passes went way off, Simpson was the same and din't stop 1 cross from coming, Colo had to cover for him too many times. Santon was pretty decent coming forward. Ben Arfa and Jonas worked well together when they did work together but Ben Arfa sometimes just needs to learn to pass the ball instead of running into a wall of players. Best did alright, took his goal very well. Shola needs to learn to be able to turn a defender, how he stayed on a Best came off I'll never know. We were so poor at attacking that at one point when we broke away from defending a corner Colo was the furthest player upfront.

WBA starting to drop through the league now as well. Maybe another victim of 2nd season syndrome?

All of todays results pretty much going our way, in with a chance of going 6th, most of their squad out of the game = Somehow we don't win and possibly end up losing.

No, if he's a known trouble maker then stay clear of them I say. Theirs plenty of young and talented lads out there you don't get into trouble, we have had too much of it over they years here.

Out of all the players we have been linked with theirs non I'd like more than Hoilett.

Just a re-hash of the chronicle shit from today.

In the wider aspect it would be mis managing the city. That would have a knock on effect of developments in the city, which would have a knock on effect on jobs created, tourism satisfaction, residents satisfaction, local business success rate etc. Effectively you would be cheering on jobs losses, a city falling behind it's rivals etc all so it would p*ss off me. From not changing a couple of signs? No, from at least four years of managing NCC. Theirs more chance of Science city progressing under the Lib deems, also the same could possibly be said for EPS (though thats mostly down to the land owners at this stage). Not forgetting the The Lib Dems are more supportive of developments from universities, infact they are more supportive of private developments altogether. They are also more in favour of investment in public transport etc. Labour winning the NCC seats is bad news for the city. very little difference between them at council level up here. from what i've read there are mant worse city councils. interesting you say about private development when most of the university expansion, quayside, eldon square etc were inititated under labour as was the metro. not saying that the lib dems wouldn't do similar had they been in the same position. Lib Dems bought the northern Rock tower and have since re-let it again making a profit on it's purchase. They have also actively sought investment in Science city, both by trying to entice the private sector to invest in it but also by seeing if the council themselves could take out a loan and being able to kick start the development themselves. Nick Clegg is very much in favour of the Science city project and as a result a Lib Dem ruling NCC could be in a great position to develop the site. I could go on about other things but as it has been said this maybe isn't the correct thread for this discussion.

It's Premier League btw. We all know what I'm on about.

Speaking of Eurosport. I've never understood why they have never gone in for the rights for the Premiership.

Spurs winning it would give us hope that if we kept our bigger players and gradually improved year upon year maybe we could stand a chance of winning it 5-7 years down the line.

I really like him but i will say he's not the greatest finisher. It seems Harry is going all out for Loic Remy who i hear can also play AMR (think thats his way of getting in 1 player rather then a striker AND a right winger). I've seen him play around 3 times in the champions league so not enough to comment.....anyone thats seen him know if he's any good? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not positive that answers Stifler's question. It's ok, the answer is no.

If they win would that mean the UEFA Cup spot would drop down to 8th place?
-
Trust Henderson to start getting involved in something that has nothing to do with him.

Is Drenthe on loan?
-
Do you think Moyes has a chance of going?
-
Keepers get too much protection.

2nd leg yet.

I'm kind of relieved Everton's games in hand has gone and we can no longer look at it and say theirs a possibility that they can close the gap and we can't do anything about it.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but don't you reside in Leeds? If so what would it mean to you if Labour did or didn't win in Newcastle?
-
Lib Dems are best for NCC. The past has shown that, far more progress in NCC was done under Lib Dem rule than Labour rule. I know many staunch Labour supporters who even admit this.
-
Where's the news? All they he has said is NCC won't change the streets signs which has already been said and probably just an appeal in the Chronicle directed to NUFC asking them to please not change the name. A fucking pathetic attempt to start gaining votes for May. No doubt the closer we get to May the more of this story we will hear and of other needless public attempts to pander to the voter.
-
No news there really. The council have already said they won't change street signs etc. The same as Manchester council not changing street signs for man Cities stadium. Just a pathetic attempt from Labour to get the NUFC fans vote.
