  1. The east stand will never be able to go above it's current height, but their maybe a way to bring it down, rebuild it and change the layout so that more seats could be put in, but that would very unlikely be finicially viable. The Gallowgate can be extended, with modern engineering and such now it is possible, an extension of the Gallowgate alone would take capacity to between 60,000-62,000. It should also be worth noting that Fat Fred wanted to increase capacity similar to this just before Mike Ashley came to the club, then Mike Ashley also had plans to aswell, even releasing renders, and also the Singapore group who wanted to buy us last summer said that they too would increase capacity to atleast 60,000 if their bid was successful.
  2. Very bad news, just hope that being put into administration will find them a buyer who can take them out of it, put money in and within a few years back challenging for promotion. No set of fans deserve to lose their football club.
  3. Forgetting the fact that Harewood scored 2 goals in the last game he started, against an oppositition in a similar position to Boro.
  4. I heard "Sweet home Albania" is set to be number one in Sunderland this xmas.
  5. At a quick look at the seating plans, I guess that their is between 1,500-2,000 seats left for the game.
  6. So does anyone know how many tickets have been sold, I can't get any of my firends to go because they are all at work, so I think I may just go by myself, get up early and into level 7 to save myself £10 to sit lower down maybe in order though.
  7. It's not a city, doesnt have a proper catherdral Not sure what your point is. It's clearly a city. As much as mackems (the footballer supporters) are deluded idiots, mackems the people are good, NE folk like the rest of us. Maybe yes, but they are still not a proper city, They won it in a lottery for the queens golden jubilee Thought it was more of a competition than a lottery? Anyway, if I win a million pounds in the lottery am I 'not really' a millionaire? Well, isnt the classic definition of "millionaire" someone with an annual income of £1mil? if so, then no point is correct though Not really, if you win enough, put it in a high interest account, you could earn over £1m a year on the interest of the win.
  8. Lets not forget that some stadia and maybe some cities will be chucked out if the bid is accpeted, though I do feel both of our cities should be safe from the axe.
  9. In what competition ? Conference Premier not shown on Sky's Score Centre (web) Also, try and catch the Hereford v MK Dons goals on SSN. One of the funniest own goals I have seen in years by Hereford I'm not sure, was going along the SSN ticker bar.
  10. Rangers win 3-0 and go top of the league, 2 points clear of Celtic, and the scum lose.
  11. I really don't want to see West Ham do well, but I want to see Bolton do badly even more so, but I want Wolves to do well for some reason, so a draw will be good here.
  12. Here is one: Who thought having rival stadium no less then 20 yards away from each other across the road? (see Dundee, and Dens Road)
  13. The the scums attendence tonight? That's correct. Not a great one for the Geordie-Mackem points scoring thing but that's an appalling attendance. Nor I am I, well unless it's us doing it to them . But yes, that is poor, no it's on TV or it's not a big team excuse either.
  14. Carlisle 3 up, that means they get to the Northern final of the JLP against Leeds.
  15. The the scums attendence tonight?
  16. Face it, it's not as bad as the 39th games idea and the toher shit the FA and FIFA come out with is it?
  17. Here is an interesting concept/idea I posted in the CCC forum. I was woundering if you thought it would be a good way to increase the CCC's profile, keeps it's TV interest after we have gone, and say a big fuck you to the EPL, plus I think it's a fairer way then just allowing the Old Firm into the EPL. Since the Old Firm don't seem to be getting accepted into the EPL, what would you think if the Football League invited them to join the Championship, say creating another 2 places in the league. I for one like the idea of it and think it would work, lets say have 4 teams relegated instead of 3 each season to make it more competitive at the bottom. I know it's highly likely my team won't be in the Championship next season, but I see the way of Celtic and Rangers being in the CCC as a good way to keep the TV attraction to it, which will dip when NUFC and WBA go back up, it would also bring money with it, making it slightly better for those teams who do go up into the EPL in terms of funding to compete. It would also be a big fuckyou to the EPL if Celtic and Rangers got promoted, after the EPL broke away from the Football League so it could keep all of it's money, it's a chance for revenge making them accept 2 clubs they never wanted. So what do you hink of my bright idea?, also considering the 4th relegation spot doesn't have to be included, but I thought with 2 extra league places, it would make the middle of the table more competitive as these teams would be wanting to get away from the increased danger of relegation.

    Choose Newcastle...

Choose Newcastle on Wednesday to be a host city in the 2018/2022 World Cup bid?
  19. Same here really. We are still a very profitable club to be associate with from a kit maker's point of view. I can't believe Adidas would feel being our sponsor would tarnish their brand enough to warrant not renewing. The pros strongly outweigh the cons surely? I think the word sponsor means more then we are saying, I think this might be mixed up with the fact that Adidas said they wouldn't sponsor the stadium, and has nothing to do with the shirt deal. I'm pretty sure the rest of the article is just made up from some reporter who hears Adidas refuse to sponsor NUFC, not hearing the stadium bit, then wrote the rest and pressed the print button.
