Did anyone else notice the Arsenal screeming bitch is back? Congrat to Boyd, now come to NUFC.
-
Didn't the new owner leave within a couple of days?
-
I'm sure when we were in Europe, we also had to put a plain patch on the back of our shirts aswell.

Ditto, though if Portsmouth do go out of business, then their will only be 19 EPL teams, and only 2 will be relegated.

Which one of you voted for Kanu?, I only put it on for a joke.
-
Yes, thats what I said in one of my above posts.

Kanu

Borders by any chance?

Not really, healthy profits, manageable debt, sponsorship of teams, and those well know and local makes the business very appealing to potential buyers.
-
Agreed, with one exception: http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/05_04/Portsmouth_468x354.jpg Since he is called Portsmouth Football Club, does that mean he has to sell all of his assets?, and if they still owe money and go bust, odes that then mean that he has to be killed?

Why not?, the bank is profitable, always has been, they never needed the money they borrowed from the government untill the loan was made public, it was borrowed kncase they needed it, if it wasn't public knowledge then they would never of needed to use it. The government then decided to natioalise the bank, and have given it 2 extra loans which it has never asked for, and it was making a profit ansd was oncourse to pay back it's original loan that it only needed to use after it went public by the end of this year. So basically the government has been given a profitable bank uneeded loans so it can gain on the interest, so putting Northern Rock in uneccasary debt which is still very much manageable. Northern Rock despite this is still making great profits, so their should be no reason at all why they can't sponsor who they wish.

This, I said the same thing for Watford, no set of fans deserve to lose their team. We weren't at any point looking as though we were going to lose our club, it was all posturing. The point I was trying to make is that no set of fans deserves to lose their team.
-
Cardiff got out of it because they didn't owe the money, or some sort of technicality, I hope Portsmouth doesn't end up going out of business, not fair on the fans

Or the current top placed team, with their current points aswell.

Seriously, am I the only one who's going to say this? Surely this is a wind up? :mackems: I'm sure this will mean that they are dropped from the league altogether though, I mean a winding up order means thats it, not even admin, going into admin would keep them alive as a business, but give them a 9 point deduction (9 points in the EPL) but a wind up order is like what happend to Gretna, and if that happens during the season then all of Portsmouth's games never happend, meaning that anyone gaining points against them will lose them, same applies for goals etc.
-
Yeah they will, it's a way of not going through the process of Virgin Money to apply for a banking licence, the name Money will be dropped for bank, and so will Northern Rock, everyone in the finicial scene seems to think the name is now tainted.
-
Though it's good to have a local shirt sponser I really don't want them to sponsor us anymore, I mean it's common knowledge that Virgin Money is going to buy them out, and I just couldn't handle the word Virgin on my shirt.

That Adidas strip is amazing, if it is Adidas, shame we never got it. Anyway, I think for the back of that Puma shirt either the 1st or 3rd template should be used, the 1st looks the best with the lettering/numbering, but the 3rd looks the best without it. Also, don't Football League rules, or maybe it may just be EPL rules state that numbering and lettering must now be either black or white?, hence why over the last 2 and a half years we have had a panel on the back of our shirts?

Anything but a Liverpool win would be great, would be better if Villa can win it.
-
Unfortunately for you most people understand the difference between real life and computer games One time I got beat 5-1 off Liverpool, a few days later it happend in real life, don't say it can't happen, lol. So all of this is your fucking fault. No, I never got relegated.

I've just signed Beckford on FIFA 10, anyway he's just scored a hatrick on his debut in a 3-0 win over Sunderland, and is wearing the no 9 shirt, a legend is born.
-
I don't know how you add it on here, on other forums I do, their doesn't seem to be a button. Right next to 'New Topic' is... Well, I missed it.

He's good for the Championship, thats it end of story, not that good for the EPL, and hopefully we will be back there before long. I'd rather him become a legend at Cardiff then strugle to score for us in the EPL and us only really having him because he's a Geordie. To be honest, I can't see Cardiff letting him go agin, they did it once and brought him back, so I can't see them letting him go again especially so soon after getting him back.
