  1. It’s to do with how close they are to the pitch. They are too close. We don’t have a problem with it, Anfield and Old Trafford do.
  2. Even if they did go through, the tale of ‘After the Lord Mayors show’ is as old as time.
  3. Fucking hell, they are doing this.
  4. We could have done with it being competitive for a bit longer.
  5. Getting the practice in for next season.
  6. I honestly think the sites they have looked at may not be big enough or even suitable for the new training complex. If they are wanting a mini stadium as part of it, then that would also complicate things. Could you imagine the traffic along Sandy Lane on racing day as well as 5k-10k fans going in to see the women play? The same applies at Woolsington Hall, absolutely no public transport there, aside from a bit of a hike to the Metro station.

I’m not sure about Birmingham City to be honest. Some teams have steamrolled their way out of League One and flopped in the Championship, others have dogged their way out of it and done back to back promotions. I actually think Sunderland will win the play offs. The only team there who I thought would beat them would be Burnley, and it looks like them and Leeds are getting promoted, both teams can actually secure it if they win their respective games on Good Friday and Bank holiday Monday. So yeah, I think Sunderland will beat whoever they get in the semi’s over 2 legs, and likely play Sheffield United in the final, which I think they’ll win.
  8. It’s nice, but so wish the logo’s were a bit smaller, especially the one on the back, it annoys me more than it should.
  9. In all fairness, I think it’s a fair argument that the top 5 UEFA nations shouldn’t have a team competing within it. Chelsea playing their reserves in the 1st leg of the quarter final is enough to see them through to the semi-finals. It is very likely that the other semi-final is to be contested between Spain’s and Italy’s representatives. Last year saw Italy’s representative get to the final, the year before the English and Italian representatives got to the final, and they year before that which was it’s inaugural edition, the Italian representative won it.
  10. Yeah, but we should be finishing above both of them from this position regardless.
  11. I’ve had pneumonia before, and even though I have a heart condition which can magnify it, it’s not a trivial condition. Honestly before I was admitted to hospital, I was contemplating ending it. I was told that it was a virus, which it was which got worse, and that my body would fight it. I went around in circles of having migraines (and I suffered from migraines that hospitalised me as a kid), feeling sick, no energy, hot, cold, fine, over and over. Each time it got worse as the cycle went around. I was eventually admitted to hospital and put on antibiotics. I’m not kidding you, within an hour I felt so much better. All in all though I was in hospital for a week. And as much as antibiotics starts to make it go away, I’m not kidding you the recovery process was long. After a few days you begin to take deeper breaths, and it’s just so refreshing, and you feel like you have been struggling for ages. It’s literally like a weight comes off your chest. You still have no energy though, the feeling better factor gives you false sense of capabilities. You don’t have the energy to get up out of bed. You can’t do lots of little things. After I came out of hospital, I couldn’t get to my front gate without being knackered. Your lungs are still recovering and you have constant coughing and wheezing fits. After 2 weeks I begged work to let me go back, and I’m so pleased they told me that I had to take my full month off, because when I came back, I was still knackered just walking about without any pace. It literally takes months for you to start to be normal again. As an adult, it was the worst illness that I have ever had. Unless you actually experience it, you don’t know how severe it is. It’s not just a simple chest infection, it’s fucking awful. The guy next to me died one night because of it. Other people in the hospital who are otherwise well and active all hospitalised and sat in bed from it.

Imagine what they had to do to get that photo. ’Aye, wait until it’s dark to get the Metro into Newcastle. roll that up with the writing on the inside, and hide it inside your jacket. Here, Mick Mak, have your jacket covering your football shirt once we pass Boldon. Right lads, we are here, keep an eye out to see if anyone is coming. No need to go further back to get a photo of the whole banner, we need to get it taken before someone sees us. Ok massive lads fans, same again covering the banners and your shirt up for on the way back. Upload the picture. AREN’T WE FUCKING HARD, GOING INTO NEWCASTLE AND TAKING THAT OHOTO WITH OUR SHIRT ON SHOW AND THE BANNER OUT!’
  13. Man City playing Aston Villa a few days after we play Villa, whilst we’d go into the weekend playing against Ipswich as a game in hand could be key. It means even if we lost to Villa, we’d have the opportunity to either gain 2 points back on both of them, or 3 points against 1 of them if we beat Ipswich.
  14. Not sure Man City deserve to be that much of a favourite to be honest.
  15. That’s fair. I mean I wasn’t there, and we know that Sky have a habit of drowning out crowds when it suits them.
  16. I can see them overcoming Lyon, purely because I think they have the ability to get a result at home, where as Lyon probably needed to have some sort of win going into their away leg. I think Frankfurt will do Spurs though. From then on, both Bilbao, and Frankfurt will prove tough tests. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Lazio overcome their 2-0 deficit to go through as well, who will again be a tough potential opponent.
  17. Fucking sofa actually, and I’m only on it because someone had to stand up to Ashley. 😉
  18. Honestly, the atmosphere seemed flat for large parts of the first half. It only really seemed to come alive between 1-0 and 1-1. That’s how it came across on TV in anyway.
