In my opinion, they should have to not compete in the EFL Cup if they do that.

If we are getting a 70k seater stadium or more, we should be getting more season ticket holders. We currently have an estimated 35k season ticket holders, that number should be pushed to 45k-50k in my opinion. We’ve already been over how Newcastle is a bit far out to expect there to be enough tourist demand like there is for the London and Manchester clubs. I’d also add, that season ticket holders should probably pay the same rate equal to single match tickets.

People have been paying like $1,000 to watch Messi in a regular MLS match. The Inter Miami games will still sell, not so much the other games.

£361 for a season ticket? I was saying nearly double that as a students in level 7 during Rafa’s reign.

Like I have said, the current season ticket holders won’t give a fuck about the consequences of staying until their season tickets go up to £1,000, £1,500, and £2,000.

The argument would be that in year 1 they could just go all out to built a squad capable of staying in the Premier League, and building from there. Year 2 they would get a points deduction, but if they did a good enough rebuild, the points taken off them may not be enough to send them down.

Surely any punishment they got for over spend next season would be applied the season after?

Middlesbrough have lost on penalties, so as it stands Newcastle win the group on goal difference, a goal for Gateshead though and I think they drop out of the top 2 qualifying places.

4-2 up now, I think as it stands they finish in the top 2 due to goal difference.

I work a lot in Sunderland, basically one of our plants is on their port, and we have a contract with the local council. As much as they may not go to games, they fucking have a load of shirts and shit. That away shirt they have this season has got to be the best selling shirt they have ever had, absolutely fucking all of them are wearing it, the training jacket as well. Probably not enough on it’s own, and the case remains to be seen if they will do the same next year where they likely won’t have a retro style away shirt/jacket to sell, or one that may not be as popular.
