Amazing to think that some people are saying we should gamble on PSR points deductions to get a squad where it needs to be, and some on here are having a go at her for being close to breaching PSR.
-
We’ll have to see how Labours plan to prevent NIMBIES from stopping things will go. Also, I think a rumoured £4bn investment from the stadium alone into Newcastle might put a bit of political pressure on them.

Wasn’t even their car park, NCP are going to be pissed.

Ghodoussi out buying the 95 shirt on his Instagram page.

We would instantly gain a case where the punishment was money rather than points. Either that, or we would see a change in what is PSR deductible, or addition of allowable losses.

They are not going to celebrate until they know for certain that it doesn’t include any of the top 6, aside from Man City.

I love how it’s ok for them to break the bank, but Newcastle aren’t.

People are just making links. It started with us consulting with people who are building Everton’s stadium, which people decided to add 2 and 2 together to get 5 and think that means it’s going to bear water. In reality we will be consulting with them because they are building the newest stadium in the Premier League and we’ll want to know what they would do differently, and what to expect. We’ll also be consulting with people who built Spurs’ stadium, as well as other across the world. The Waugh article where he mention it as 1 of 2 potential city centre sites also plays a part in people discussing it.

We need to cash in if we can, sorry like but not only rejecting Gina chance to move, but offering him a new contract is baffling. -
Birmingham is suffering with a lot of car cannibalism at the moment, with away fans being targeted at Birmingham City matches.

That’s down to Tynemouth MP Alan Campbell. I believe he’s on the board there, or has something to do with them, and Whitley Bay High. He’s a Sunderland season ticket holder.

Is it not tomorrow night?

Don’t forget that there is a store in Fenwick, also JD are selling them online, so their Northumberland Street store might have some in.

I’d just fund someone local, give them a load of money, call them a local businessman, then get them to sponsor the club. The Saudi ambassador to the U.K. is married to a Geordie, get one of her family members to do it.

Yeah, and I think if we are going for an 80k capacity stadium, we need to be giving about 5k minimum to worthy causes, be it schools, food banks, sheltered accommodation, children homes etc.

Sheffield United’s attendance was worse than Sunderland’s on Thursday. Why a 3rd round cup game is on a Thursday is beyond me in anyway, but still you would expect more to turn up, and they are above Sunderland in the league table. Man City had gaps in their ground, despite the team they played against being owned by the class of 92. I think a lot of it comes down to price, I even think £30 four our game is a bit much, but obviously we are riding a different set of waves as a club at the moment. The FA Cup ticketing pricing is probably where the most impact on protests over ticket prices can be seen, or should be seen.
-
In all fairness, the first ones should be automatic in anyway. Most clubs have a cup scheme plan for season ticket holders. I think the only unrealistic things there is the 50% off voucher for the club store, and free pie & pint. Maybe a voucher for 50% off food and drink at the match before KO.
-
At this point, they are probably sending tickets to the email spam folder of a primary school in Derby.
-
I think each team gets 45% of ticket sales, with the FA getting the other 10%.

I’m not trying to say people won’t, I’m trying to say the logistics of getting people out via public transport is more difficult due to bus time tables, and the fact that only 1 Metro station would be used instead of the 5 that are currently used.
-
A walk from the arena site to Haymarket. A 27 minute walk is no good for late KO’s though.
-
Google maps has it down as a 27 minute walk to Haymarket, compared with a 7 minute walk from SJP. Castle Leazes (next to the uni buildings) is a 14 minute walk. Considering a lot of busses stop at say 20 past, or half 10 at night (some might run after that but stop short of the usual route), you are not giving fans much chance of getting to the bus stations for example in that time. On top of that, all the fans will be going to Central station Metro station, meaning you would probably have to go to Gateshead to catch it before it fills up. Currently fans spread out to the different Metro stations after the match. If money really isn’t an issue, then they could easily enlarge the Metro station at SJP to have say 3 or 4 platforms, that would allow for more fans to use the the trains and have an increased service just after matches. You aren’t going to be able to do that at Central station.
-
From a public transport point of view, unless you are coming in via Central station, it would be fucking shit. SJP is just around the corner from the 2 major bus stations in Newcastle, it is also within walking distance to all the city centre Metro stations, and Jesmond Metro station. The Arena is a bit much of a walk, and if we have a late KO or a midweek match, you aren’t making it to Haymarket or Eldon Square bus station in time for the last busses if you leave at full time. I do think that area of Newcastle needs something to regenerate it, and a new arena would work well, or even a smaller stadium for the Falcons, but for NUFC, it would be the lesser of any city centre options really.
