  1. The main brother of them posts almost exclusively about his dealings with the Saudi government on his LinkdIn account.
  2. So they are trying to distance themselves from us as they are not being bought by the Saudi state, however someone has found that the people involved have worked closely with the government on projects, and family members have been in government roles.
  3. ‘But it’s not the Saudi government so it’s not the same’.
  4. Not us, but John Textor has entered into an exclusivity period to sell his shares in Crystal Palace to a Saudi-USA consortium. Lets see if they are the bad guys?
  5. The retro home shirt. Who’s buying an £80 training jacket today, when there is re-issue of a classics shirt that everyone wants coming out in a couple of days which will cost a minimum of £80?
  6. SSN saying Everton are having a meeting about Dyche.
  7. Absolutely no one is buying it when they know what’s coming on Wednesday/Thursday.

You want a Man Utd signature, go to Carrington and get one. Don’t stand in the way of people trying to leave SJP in Newcastle trying to get one. SJP should be a fortress, and that includes little things like not accommodating away fans above what is generally required, and not inconveniencing our fans. Also have you tried to get out of the stadium in that area? It’s crammed, imagine parking a truck on the road leading out of it, because that’s essentially what you are doing.

I’m sorry like, but theirs a lot of emotion into football compared to other sports. On top of this, it’s not like the NFL where teams by a rule of thumb are hundreds if not thousands of miles away from each other, so you don’t get that anticipation charge built up. I mean, let’s be honest, no one should be getting abused or attacked for the team they support, but the segregation of fans does add to the atmosphere. Additionally, how am I supposed to start getting a chant going if a group of Irish tourists have bought all the tickets around me to cheer on Liverpool who we are playing?

I mean what I said was that there was people largely from an Asian demographic who were not attending games, but waiting outside the players entrance after games against the top 6 for signatures from their players. I’ve said the club should be telling them that away players will not sign autographs. I also believe that those who want autographs from NUFC players, they should wait until the area is cleared before queueing for autographs, not standing in the way of fans leaving the ground. We all know that we’ll get tourist fans, it’s the nature of being a Premier League club, and also for where our aspirations will take us. What I do think though, is that as well as accommodating them, the club should be looking to accommodate fans who can’t get in now. If we go to an 80k seater stadium, then surely having 20k additional season ticket holders (based on about 35k now), soem for game by game sale, some for local causes/concessions, obviously the increased away fan allocation, and then some for tourists. An 80k capacity should be able to eat into a lot of demand for all areas.
  11. It massively depends on each club and their location. Spurs are a London club with the biggest and one of the newest stadiums in the city. They also have the Son interest from Asia. I doubt Crystal Palace are getting a lot of tourists attending their games. The Manchester clubs are in a city that still gets a lot of tourists, much more than what Newcastle gets. Liverpool is sort of an extension of that, and they do have connections to Ireland where they have a decent following. I’ll be shot down for saying this, but if Celtic and Rangers were in the Premier League, and able to build a Spurs like stadiums in Glasgow, they would fill it out with tourism there. Newcastle doesn’t have that many tourists compared to other U.K. cities, and our airport connections are not all that good. We have no full time flights to/from the USA, or Canada for example. Even Edinburgh’s airport is about the same distance away as Manchesters, and we likely are not getting people coming through either of those to come to us. If we continue to grow, no doubt we’ll start to get more tourists come to SJP/Leazes Park, but not to the level other clubs are doing so. We will not be getting the extra 20k-30k worth of people each match in anyway.
  12. I bought our Ajax style Telewest Broadband away shirt from them once. The felt sponsor came off in the wash straight away, absolute no chance it was authentic. My mam used to wash my shirts from that era in all sorts of cycles and they usually held up well.
  13. Should have to scan your ticket to go out before full time, and if you repeatedly do, you go to the back of the list for tickets.
  14. Nah, that’s not a penalty. Only person who gives that is someone who has never played or even jumped before.
  15. This, it wasn’t even tight, pretending it was to add needless drama.
  16. Why were they making out as if it was close? He was clearly onside and you could clearly see it on the first freeze frame.
  17. Fuck that, I couldn’t give a fuck about England. Give me NUFC winning the League Cup over England winning the World Cup.
  18. Should have fucking called the game off after all.
  19. I thought they may have turned up for what is Dublins biggest derby.
  20. Fucking flat atmosphere, surprise surprise.
  21. Put Fulham v Ipswich on please.
  22. France got red up of their national team not doing anything, so starting in the 80’s they set up academies in every region of the country that was independent to their clubs. The aim was to win the World Cup, which they did in 1998, and obviously again in 2018. Brazil have a culture of having players have access and playing Futsal and beach football, usually paid for by the government or local authorities. Spain and Italy etc all have facilities for kids to play at free of charge. England eventually looked at what France did, then built 1 academy, which most of the country can’t access, and is usually closed to the public due to a select few using it, as well as the national team, and visiting teams. McDonalds and Mars have both funded new facilities for grassroots football, but it’s usually provided to non-league clubs who don’t let the general public use it. Our government will give grants to the people who own Goals, and other 5 aside pitches, but charge people a minimum of £50 to use them. The same applies local leisure centres, all behind an expensive paywall. Kids in the U.K. are left to use back alleys, local parks where the facilities are rotten, or play on patches of grass that have no ball games signs up and around it, with Dorris waiting to report kids playing football as she asks why Kids these days sit in all day playing FIFA. This is why we have a lack of talent, and why we have won fuck all at a national level.
  23. Liverpool haven’t even tested them yet.
