Aye, to be fair Wrexham is a bit like much of the North East. It’s a town with no real purpose now other than to exist for those who live there, and those people have largely lost their industries. North Wales as whole lost out when the coal mines closed, Cardiff in the south has went from strength to strength and even Swansea is coming along now. North Wales though doesn’t have much going for it. Any team down there would have taken this opportunity, and on the other end of the scale, we have. Ok they are making a documentary, but I don’t think it was the whole basis of owning a club. I actually think they honestly wanted to bring a team from nowhere, to the top. The documentary was just an additional thing they were able to do because of their fame, and should help fund them. I don’t get the the hate for them, but I get the annoyance if you’re down there with them trying to get out and all of a sudden you have a team competing who have all the money and everyone seems to be wishing them well.

There was an outside chance that if Man Utd dropped out of top 4, Chelsea won the Champions League, and Man Utd won the Europa League, and the team who finished 4th wouldn’t get a Champions League place.

The plans for Man City’s extension looks good. It’s not the best, but I think that’s down to the layout of the site and the existing structure/design of their stadium. However their ideas are great, a sort of Wembley Way walk way with a covered fanzone. It would be great if we could do similar with Strawberry place.

Some guy the other day was asking who Daz Curry was because Daz was saying he was a glory hunter jumping in our bandwagon because he’s not from the area. The guy defended himself by saying he was born and raised in North Shields, then moved to Whitley Bay, before moving to York a few years ago for work. This is what I was saying earlier on this thread, you can’t create a supporters group if you are going to gatekeep it so only people you personally know are allowed to join.

I was a little excited when they announced Vancouver as a team and their colours were supposed to be a sort of black & white, but their home shirt is more grey than anything. Their away short is getting plaudits, but I think it’s absolutely rotten. Anyway, Howay Forge FC.

I think they will do similar to what Manchester City have done. They have 1 small stadium (5k), and some pitches with smaller amount of room for spectators. The stadium is used for academy & women’s games, as well open training sessions. Sometimes if there is a fixture class, either the academy or the women’s team will play on one of the other pitches, whichever is expected less of a crowd I guess. However with SJP hosting magic weekend in the rugby etc, surely we have the facilities to have 4 changing rooms. So it would be great if they started offering double headers, like the women’s team KO before the men’s game. You can arrive early and see both games, or arrive later and just see the men’s. Women’s football isn’t going to be for everyone I guess, but it gives you that option and divides the two teams less.

You don’t need to pay them when the vast majority of them come from within a bus ride of Manchester & Liverpool.
