  1. Out of possession our midfield is hiding behind the players they are supposed to mark. If you aren’t going to offer the press, you have to at least cut off the supply of the ball.
  2. Yeah I know. Not a chance he takes off one of the bigger players for some guy who’s played for Newcastle and Bournemouth. Even if we got through today, not a chance he plays again in this tournament (3rd place play off aside).
  3. Wilson would actually be good to be honest, running into those upfield balls and getting behind the defence.
  4. We will bottle it. Following yesterday’s and today’s results, there is absolutely no one left in this who we shouldn’t beat if we got past France. Argentina are not as great as people make out, I only think they are rated so highly is because it’s Messi’s last chance to win the World Cup. Unpopular opinion, Croatia are actually the better team and I don’t think it would be as simple for Argentina as everyone expects.
  5. Why the fuck did the linesman wait for the referee to tell him to give a goal kick there?
  6. That’s a penalty that, but you could see from the referee’s body language that he was going to double down on his decision.
  7. Closing down by us has been week as fuck and to be honest our players have hid behind the French players when out of possession, when you do that you invite goals like that. I also believe Pickford had poor positions and a goalkeeper with longer arms would still have saved it.
  8. True Faith board, fuck me do we get weekly emails about games they went to in the 70’s-80’s which is basically a love letter to football hooliganism? Alex Hurst, I mean the guy is literally just a less successful version of Steve Wraith.
  9. Toon Mouth Tyne is a Burnsie account.
  10. His YouTube will bring in enough to go to most games with, but not enough to live on. As others have said he lives with his parents and has no other commitments aside from NUFC. He also enrolled at uni, which would have automatically given him a bit of money.

    St James' Park

If SJP is to be renovated/rebuilt then the footprint will extend and move slightly. I can see the main stand coming further towards Barrack Road, and the Leazers going further into Leazers Park. New stadiums need the room for increased faculties, and like others have mention seat size etc.
  12. I doubt it. They had massive trouble in pre-season with YouTube not working or for some reason not allowing the matches to be on.
  13. Yeah, same. Taking over Newcastle means there is no profit, ignoring the fact that they aim to build the club. Taking over Man Utd would be better, ignoring the fact that the higher price point for the club plus new stadium means there is no profit for the next 20 years minimum. It’s basically this: ’I’m a professor of economics, and I’m going to use my economic abilities/teachings to tell you why PIF should ignore the fact that it would be economically unsound to buy Man Utd and buy them over another club that makes economic sense, but you should listen to me because I’m an economics professor and I’m telling you to make an unsound investment for my own gratification.’
  14. I don’t think anyone is really taking it seriously. I think they are just bemused that it’s written by a Man Utd fan who has consistently written about our takeover, claiming taking over us makes no sense, and that a Man Utd takeover makes more sense all because he’s a Man Utd fan.
  15. Fucking hell. So apparently he is about to appoint Gary Hoffman to the board of the company he owns for the Coventry arena. This is the same Gary Hoffman who was brought onto the PL’s board by the top 6 clubs and BeIN to block our takeover, the same Gary Hoffman who is apparently a massive Coventry City fan.
  16. Should be Portimonense, they play in Black and White and in the Algarve, we could all go on our jollies.
  17. I’ve got nothing against Coventry City, never came across one of their fans. If anything I like them for griefing Sunderland fans, and have sympathy for their city as whole if we are to believe the stories about Coventry was sacrificed to the Luftwaffe during WW2. In saying that, Richard Keys, and Gary Hoffman can lap this shit up over and over. In all seriousness though, I hope Coventry City’s new owners just go ahead with building their own stadium and leave Ashley and their everlasting stadium troubles behind.
  18. Either he wants to strong arm them into a shit deal to sell the club to him, or he wants knock the place down and build a massive SD retail park. Either way pissing off your potential customers on step 1 isn’t the right way to go, then again his SD shops survived in Newcastle for 14 years of his NUFC ownership.
  19. I’m sure he was in the paper the other day complaining about how he has discovered his train fare is much cheaper if he buys split tickets. Welcome to 5 years ago mate, train ticket apps will even split the tickets for you these days.

    The Round of 16

France will beat us. When we get under the cosh Southgate has not been able to come up with a plan B. The Croatia semi-final once they equalised, and the same against Italy in the final last year shows this. Go a goal behind and we are truly fucked. I came into this World Cup not expecting us to get past the 1st decent team we come across and I have not seen anything from us during this World Cup to change my mind.

    The Round of 16

That’s actually a poor cross, it was nowhere near where Saka would be, could easily have pulled it further back, had time as well.
  22. I’ve got a Fanatics Colts beanie hat. Absolute mint quality, and great for the winter. Something similar would be great for us. A few years ago there was a couple knocking about from the online store and a few people picked them up. I’ve not seen anything since.

    St James' Park

They only really got that because they were building it for the Olympics and realised that if they let the athletics have it to themselves, then it would cost too much. They should have just sold the site to West Ham and let them build their own stadium.
