It absolutely wouldn’t. I’m hating this clamour for a stop clock, next we’ll be introducing time outs so that Sky can get those adverts in.
-
The referee is to blame for that though. He’s the one who decided everything was a foul. Arsenal are also to blame because their players kept going down for a freekick.
-
I said it earlier in the thread. Arsenal were just as bad at going down as our players. Usually our players went down with genuine knocks, their players went down under any challenge in a game they couldn’t coast in, just like they have always done since Wenger got his mitts on them. Had they stayed on their feet under those challenges, they would have likely have won the 2nd ball and been able to take us apart on the counter. They didn’t though, they wanted to slow the game down and take the free kicks. They were their own worst enemy and the only reason why everyone is pointing fingers at us for our players going down is because you see Arteta running up and down the touchline screaming at the 4th official and referee. Arsenal were their own worst enemy tonight, of course slowing the game down and it being made scrappy would suit us, I’m just amazed that it’s them who actually made it like that.

Can’t see what Dyche would do for them. Now he’s eventually been relegated, he’ll have lost that belief from players.
-
Get in! I fucking hate Arsenal, bunch of diving whinging bastards. They kept on whinging about our players going down yet they don't realise that they did the same. They literally stifled their own attacks by going down too easily under every challenge, could have absolutely tore us apart if they tried to win the 2nd ball instead.
-
After the 1st 10 minutes we came into the game and didn’t really give them anything. We could have had a couple of dangerous attacks if the referee wasn’t happy to declare ridiculous fouls.
-
I doubt it, he has given them yellow cards to even it out, ours have been malice.
-
Mikel Arteta who played under Wenger? Really?
-
Give over man, how the fuck does he think Almirón has the ability or strength to knock him off there?
-
Arteta complains and immediately 2 of our players get soft bookings, same old Arsenal.
-
Need to keep a hold of the ball a bit here, slow the game down.

Just went on now, just bought 2 adult tickets somewhere in level 7, mustn’t be part of the family enclosure. Only level 7 left really now.
-
Yeah, for everything that the consortium has done right, you have to say the 1 thing they have done wrong is largely carry across the ticketing from Ashley. Ok they have reduced the family size area, but there is no reason why it still should be so big, especially when so many fans are locked out. The way it means points are needed for pretty much any away game without giving anyone else a chance to gain points is also a problem. The whole points thing only works for the 1st 10-15 years, in which case the away fans have just gained unattainable amounts of points. You literally have a case now where there are fans who haven’t went to away games for the best part of 10 years or so, who are now going to away games because they have so many accumulated points before they stopped going and because when they did stop going, they bought the tickets in anyway and sold them on. The fact that those who gave up their season tickets when Rafa left, Amanda’s previous takeover attempts collapsed, and generally under Ashley were not given the chance to go back ahead of anyone else waiting for season tickets is also a sore point. It’s also especially sore when you consider that those fans were largely the ones talking to hers and other takeover groups.

Nunez looks like he’s about to preach to me that he is a yoga instructor/personal trainer, as well as a nightclub promoter.

In all honesty I think a rebuild of SJP on a slightly larger footprint, like what Spurs did is the best option. The thing is you encroach on Leazers Park and the only part of Leazers Park with any kind of structure on it. It would have to be sensitively done.
-
Fuck that, it’s bad enough climbing up to level 7, never mind level 57.
-
It was only a matter of time, they have had poor results under him and not looked anything special.
-
Colback to needlessly pullback a Chelsea player who poses no danger, and Chelsea to score the winner from the resulting freekick.
-
Chelsea with some games in hand as well not that far back.
-
Haha, Villa and Spurs have now conceded the same amount of goals.
-
Yeah, everyone wrote them off but they came back and to be honest, they still have time to keep gelling. Them coming back has arguably dragged half the league back into it.

In my opinion, anyone from and including Crystal Palace and down could go down and are technically in a relegation fight. I don’t think Villa will go down though, especially now that Gerrard has gone, I also don’t think Palace will go down either. It will be 3 from Bournemouth, Wolves, Everton, Forest, West Ham, and Southampton. I actually think Southampton are gone like, nothing left in them, no fight or anything.

Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)

Karius only signed until January, didn’t he? -
Yeah I also think his ceiling is the Championship or lower Premier League level at best. We have a squad full of players like him which it will take time to go from pushing them off the bench and out of the club. Just think a year ago he would have been a regular starter. 4-5 months ago we were saying the same about Almirón, a year ago Joelinton. Some players will be able to step up with the right coach, some will have hit their level no matter what.

Let’s hope Wolves equalise. I can’t ever give sympathy to Man Utd when they are on the receiving end of a bad decision, they had decades of them going for them week in week out.
