  1. A good win, but we made a harder job of it than it should have been. They absolutely done us by diving and dirty tackles. They tried to drag us down to their level, and Joelinton and Schar were falling for it. If we had Joelinton in the 2nd half without that stupid yellow card, then we would have controlled that 2nd half better. A full strength us would have absolutely tested that Everton team and as soon as teams clock in not to get dragged down by Gordon’s antics, they will start getting brayed by other teams. Diving, rash tackles, and the long ball up to DCL is all that they have.
  2. Sloppy this, we need to regain control.
  3. Shit. Been dropping in quality, then the screen going black but the audio still playing.
  4. No need to get involved with Gordon’s antics, it’s his sole purpose of being on the pitch, to a yogi use opposing players and get them booked.
  5. Doncaster apparently have a squad that should be completing at the top end of League One. Injuries and bad managers have fucked them in recent seasons.
  6. Don’t ESH own the basketball team. I can’t see them being in a position where they need to sell.
  7. So apparently there are 2 more Rugby clubs close to going into administration, or atleast in financial difficulty. Some expert on the radio seemed to imply that one of them is Newcastle Falcons. I wonder if PIF would be interested in buying them as well and gaining Kingston Park. Either use it as a ready made ground for our academy/women’s teams, or bring in the Rugby team to SJP? They could also demolish some stands and put in temporary ones for a temporary home if they were to rebuild SJP.

I think it’s worth pouring out that Atlanta moved into a stadium that also holds their NFL team. Without them moving in there is not a chance Atlanta would have been given the funding for such a stadium and such a large stadium. They would without a doubt had been playing in a 20k seater relatively flat pack stadium.

Liverpool won’t do it because they have had a boost initially to put them in a position where they don’t need too. Guarantee it if they rebuilt Anfield like Spurs rebuilt their stadium, then they absolutely would be calling it the Liverpool Victoria Arena or something like that in order to pay for it. The thing is though they are in a position where they already have a stadium of a decent size, and to increase their stadium all they need to do is take down a couple of their shit stands, stand by stand and rebuild them. They have the land to do that, and each stand would only cost the same as a new player for them. For us we don’t have the land and the majority of our stands are interconnected more. If we did it it’s a rebuild job, Gallowgate stand aside, which again ha it’s own problems.
  11. Fair to say anything less than a win here for Leicester would be a disaster?
  12. Nah. If he wants to be in the construction trade he’ll fit right in. Full of ‘lads’ who are spending their time drinking, and sniffing everything whilst making all the racist and misogynist jokes they can think of.
  13. Really? He was having a go at West Brom pretty early on because they employed a low block that he couldn’t break down.
  14. I’m not saying it is. But if he did buy them then they would have either stayed in League One, or yo-go’s between League One and the Championship. No way would they ever be competing to be back in the Premier League or staying in the Premier League. My point is that either the narrative would have to change to justify Derby being the club Ashley would ultimately make them be, or everyone else would have to admit that they were wrong about him. Like I said it’s all too convenient for people to not refer to his time at Rangers when defending him and his running of us. Sole ownership of another club would make that bit impossible.
  15. He’s not really wanting to save them, but they are the owners of the stadium, so buying them gives him access to the stadium and puts him in a good position to launch a takeover bid for Coventry. He has the possibility of folding the club, and just keeping the stadium, that has been mooted about. As much as I hate him and wouldn’t wish him on any other club, there is a bit of me who would like him to takeover another club just so that we can ultimately show everyone what he’s like. Everyone bangs on about us and say he did us good, but no one ever brings up how he fucked Rangers over in the conversation and how their fans hate him as much. The thing is if he took over Coventry and brought them back to that stadium, then unless he took them to League 2 or the National League, everyone will say that he’s done a good job. If he took over Derby and they never got promoted under him, the excuse would be that he was limited on what he could do, and that this is Derby’s new natural level, etc.
  16. For me it depends. It would leave bitter taste in my mouth if it was SJP in its current guise. If it was a rebuilt or totally refurbished SJP, that’s a different story.
  17. Well you still get midday and teatime KO’s.
  18. I have always been in favour of having all games on TV. I don’t think it will affect attendances for those teams because so long as the Premier League has been around, you have been able to watch it on dodgy boxes or in pubs and clubs that have them. If non-league and lower League attendances are at risk, then just switch Premier League games to Sundays, most of them are these days in anyway.

    Bomb threat in Sunderland apparently.
  20. What the USA does or doesn’t do won’t effect us in anyway. He went in to his tenure saying he would clamp down on Saudi and 18 months later, he’s done fuck all. This is all bluff to try and pressure them to produce more oil so that oil prices can come down. The USA and U.K. will keep selling them weapons so long as they are willing to keep oil flowing and and the rest of the middle in line.
  21. Rumoured to be interested in buying Wasps, but only for the stadium, as a result he is also linked with buying Coventry City.

Fucking deluded man. My auntie is a Sunderland fan and lives in North Shields, due to her ex-husband being from Sunderland, her boyfriend is also from Sunderland and a Sunderland fan. Between them they are quite likely they only Sunderland fans in North Shields, and likely about 50% of them in North Tyneside. Hardly a mackem stronghold though. I’m probably as likely to come across a Newcastle fan in Southwick, doesn’t make it a our stronghold.
