  1. Individual fans can exist at any club. I don't see other teams printing up t-shirts in support of racists, defending them in statements, and players making a spectacle of themselves by refusing to shake the hand of the player they abused.
  2. Anyone but Liverpool. Seriously, only the mackems winning the league would sicken me more. I'm a City fan until the end of the season. Those whining, racist, self-aggrandising fuckers deserve nowt. Besides, the fan reaction will be fucking hilarious if they bottle it.
  3. Please Jose, just let us knock the ball about and score. Awww, go on. Please? Howay man.
  4. I'm sure he'll be content with the Champion's League.

  6. That run and pass at 1:53...
  7. The Chelsea squad, on an individual basis, is class. Strikers could be better, mind. But the players alone don't win anything, winning is done by teams. They played the Liverpool game perfectly. Rodgers has been whining about Chelsea defending from the first minute, but Liverpool start games fast, what the fuck is he supposed to do? Just let you score for the sake of the neutrals watching? Fuck that. Chelsea have done Liverpool home and away and City home and away this season. That's not luck, it's not a vastly superior squad, it's using the right game plan.

  9. Injures to key players, big Champion's League game coming up, going to Anfield to play the league leaders who are scoring for fun... comes away with a 2-0 win. He's fucking ridiculous.

    I'm not complaining.
  11. You shouldn't need to take risks of you're controlling the game but that's besides the point. It demonstrated that he had instilled a mentality in them, not to panic when under pressure and to keep the ball and find the spaces with good movement and a bit of cohesion, which personally I admired Also known as slowing down play, allowing your opponent to reset into their defensive formation, losing any advantage you might have had by hitting them during their transition phase.
  12. Even being as contrary as I am, I'd still pick Martinez without a second thought.
  13. I just hope chelsea don't get to the final, I would want it to be atletico vs real. Atletico/Real has its appeal but I REALLY want to see Chelsea vs. Bayern. Jose vs. Pep again. I think Chelsea will win it outright, even with all the injuries. I can't think of many things in life more boring than Chelsea Bayern in the final Some people find fireworks and monster trucks more exciting than the opera and a nice glass of Saint-Émilion's best. Ah so you're one of these purists I keep hearing about It's not even about the football all that much. Jose/Pep is just such an interesting story. Jose back with Chelsea, where his biggest omission was the Champion's League. He loves the club, has something to prove this time and you have to believe the Champion's League is his top priority. Jose hates Barca. Pep is the anti-Mourinho. He is Barca through and through. Completely different style of play and style of management. They didn't get on. Mourinho bested him in 2010 with an inferior Inter side. No one expected it. If they come up against each other, you'd have to argue that Pep has the better team again, is he going to get done by Mourinho with Chelsea? That's much better than just a boring old game of football.

  15. Is Atletico a possession based team now? Or do you mean yesterday? I was speaking relatively. I can't speak for their usual style of play because I don't follow La Liga.

  17. I'm liking that across the two semis the most pragmatic teams are (arguably) in the best situations against the two more possession-based teams. One goal between the two games and neither Bayern nor Atletico scored it.
  18. Apparently eligible to play for Turkey, Albania, Serbia, Kosovo(?), or Belgium (pretty sure the Irish would find a way to claim him too). Belgium seems like the obvious choice.
  19. What a fucking pass that was from Ronaldo. Beautiful goal.
  20. If there's anyone who's going to be up for stopping Pep's Bayern it'll be Jose.
  21. I can see Chelsea getting an early goal, then parking the bus and picking up a second on the break. 2-0. Champions League final: anybody's game.
  22. He's going to do it again, isn't he?
  23. I find myself in a position where I don't really like Moyes, and don't think he should have been their first choice anyway, while also thinking Man United were wrong to sack him because he hasn't had enough time to do things his way, yet. So yeah, he's shit, but you should keep him and give him a chance. I realize those two ideas don't actually work together and yet there they are.
