  1. For the record, I think Ben Arfa is going to be amazing.... but please, lord, never let him take another freekick.
  2. Yeah, we're not that good at creating something from nothing. Out best line of attack is from our wing play. Routledge & Ben Arfa/Jonas working with the fullbacks to get in behind. Today we couldn't really get in behind them. Particularly in the second half, every time we went forward they had 6+ players behind the ball. Arsenal struggled against West Brom for the same reasons, unfortunately we don't have a Nasri in the side who can do it all on his own.
  3. We were undone by their set pieces. We aren't the first and we won't be the last. Credit to them. We stuggled to deal with everything in the air. The inclusion of Campbell might have remedied that but it's only hindsight. No one would have wanted him to start if asked before the game. More worrying was our lack of chances in the second half. Ben Arfa, Routledge and Tiote all just fizzled out. Jonas looked lively when he came on. Nolan should have buried that late chance. Criticism of Carroll is a bit harsh. He worked hard again today. He lacked a touch of quality but he's young and not a magician. He can't do it all on his own. He won his headers, held the ball up well, and that's pretty much his role in the side. Barton, Colo, and Enrique were excellent once again. This is only what, the second time we've played these 11 players together? Give it time. They'll come good. There's plenty of quality in there. Well done Stoke. Jones buggered us right up. No one managed to compete with him. Our own fault for giving them so many opportunities to launch it into the box. The first half, we managed to keep the ball on the ground and they didn't have a sniff.
  4. Both done more than Ben Arfa today. "Form" isn't just one game, though.
  5. Against these sort of teams we need to have Sol Campbell playing. None of our current back 4 are any good in the air. That's why we end up with Carroll back defending corners when he should be further up the pitch as an outlet for a counter attack.
  6. Nolan's taken a penalty, that's his work for the day done. Get him off, get Shola on. Need to change it round up front.
  7. Still shite at crossing the ball into the box. Even with oceans of space he still manages to "float the ball in" 20ft in the air, landing the opposite side of the penalty area. Needs to sort that out but generally a class player. Only going to get better.
  8. I think we have the muscle to kick them all over the park. We'll steal it.
  9. Once again, it's not that the information isn't available. We know the information is freely available on other websites. The whole point is that it would allow us to talk freely about the fixtures. Personally I reckon that's worth a tenner, however, I'm in a minority and there's not enough support for it so it won't go ahead.
  10. Obviously there are limits to how often you can ask people for money but donating a small amount once in no way puts people off doing it again... in fact it increases the chances of them doing it again because they feel a sense of commitment to the place. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foot-in-the-door_technique It's A level psychology.
  11. It's not about the actual information, it's about having the ability to openly discuss a run of games in the place we all come to talk about football... ... and tits.
  12. We don't care about servers, we care about fixture lists. If you need more computing power I've got an old Windows 98 machine you can have. Must be an upgrade on the box we're currently running if last night is anything to go by.
  13. It will save the admins' valuable time as they won't have so many people to ban which means they can start doing name changes again.
  14. Was this Villa match recorded on someone's mobile?
  15. Like any real Newcastle fan, I'd prefer the FA cup. This one would do, mind.
  16. Both Turin and Milan have excellent shops and a relatively prosperous population compared to Southern Italy. In any case, not too many of their players want to come to England, do they..!? Northern Italy is like a shit version of England.
  17. Likewise. Would love to move there one day. Fourthed, amazing country. Kicks the arse of France and Spain. Nah, stating the obvious but your holiday in Italy isn't the same as living in Italia. Two very different worlds. Incredibly frustrating place to live. Too much bureaucracy, corruption, and negativity. As an example; think English estate agents are scum? Try renting a house in Italy. You can kiss goodbye to your deposit the moment it leaves your pocket. You're never seeing it again. Amusing roguish behaviour from the outside... massive pain in the arse to live it.
