  1. Fair points. Ashley has always been open about his "everyone has a price tag" approach. Can just imagine he's sitting at home watching Carroll's price slowly creep up with every pundit superlative. I don't think Ashley would take £20m, for what it's worth. We tend to sell for a decent price.
  2. Given Carroll's current form, if Man City or someone like what they see and come in with a £20m offer tomorrow, should we take it?
  3. External company. They assign one bloke to watch each game and press buttons every time certain things happen. Mate of mine does it.

    £100m

Come back in another 4 years, £10m might buy both.
  5. Spurs fans would rather lose 4-3 than win 1-0.
  6. Nah, ginger blokes can't black-up. Looks ridiculous. Will have to dye his hair too.
  7. It would be less confusing for newer members if the Liverpool thread wasn't given it's title based on an inside joke. No real wonder people keep creating new threads. Parky vs. Roy doesn't give too much away. Nor does it make any sense. I'm sure the majority of Parky's family refuse to acknowledge his existence never mind Roy Hodgson. Just saying.
  8. Of course he is, man. Granted, there's not much in it between him and Keegan.
  9. One of the Blatter arguments against technology is that these types of decisions create talking points... as if a sense of injustice makes the game more lively. Makes you wonder if there's not a "contentious decision quota" that referees need to be hitting. For the sake of keeping things interesting, obviously.
  10. Routledge was ineffective. Barton was a bit of a liability today Out wide when you're taking on players and trying to create something you will sometimes lose the ball. However, when you're playing central you need to retain posession. Barton failed miserably at that today. Don't even get me started on his crossing/corners/freekicks. Just awful.
  11. Krul - 8 Looked really assured today. One moment in particular was a Man City break, they were two on one, the ball was squared and Krul stretched to turn it away from Tevez's path. But there were number of key touches he got today. Almost kept out the penalty too. Turning into a class little goal keeper. Perch - 7 Got caught out a couple of times but overall a soid performance. Coloccini - 7 (Campbell 7.5) Colo looked good today up until the injury. Once again, playing his way out of touble on a few occasions. Good passer of the ball, too. Campbell is a beast. Glad we have him to fall back on. Williamson - 6.5 Should have closed his legs for Johnson's goal. Otherwise generally had a reasonable game. That was never a penalty. Can't be blamed at all. Enrique - 8 Easily one of the best left backs in the league. Guti - 8 Well taken goal. Caused City all sorts of problems with his skill. Final ball still terrible but he looked dangerous and gave them plenty to think about. Barton - 4 Terrible passing today. Won the ball a couple of times... lost it more. Such a shame because he's played well recently. Tiote - 8 Won the ball well. Retained the ball well. Passed the ball well. Drove the play forward. Best signing of the summer. No doubt. Routledge - 5 Routledge is Routledge. Lacks skill, touch, and end product but is quick, lively, and hard working. Some times that will be enough and pay off, other times it won't. Today it didn't. Nolan - 6 Put pressure on the City defenders and midfield with his closing down. Offered nothing else today. Not good enough. Ameobi - 6 (Carroll - 5) Had a difficult task today playing up front on his own. Rarely saw the ball. Closed down well. Carroll didn't really have time to get into it.
  12. Krul to the rescue once again. He's looking the part today. Got a decent contact on the penalty too.
  13. The Togolese Kenwyne Jones is coming on. Expect to be bummed by long balls again. Glad we have Sol on the pitch.
  14. Agree with all of that apart from the Shola comment. He's been isolated up front and so has done fuck all. Not necessarily his fault.... but really, he's done nowt.
  15. Dreadful pundit. Aye. Nicky Butt is at it as well. Could they not find any ex-players who aren't fucked off with the club?
  16. That's twice I've seen Nolan tracking back to help out the defence....
