Credit to Mark Hughes, mind. He's completely transformed Stoke from a detestable, shitty, direct team into a barely likeable bang average team.

This thread is glorious. Just pure anger and hatred and then the inevitable acceptance...followed by more anger and hatred.

That start McClaren out by September...
-
At least we're at home. Won't make the defeat any better to take mind
-
Kaka, man He's turning into a parody of himself.
-
That would credit us with too much nous IMO, if we offer below the odds for sought-after names we will always be likely to miss out. Yeah, this is it really. To continue the original analogy, it's only becase we're too fucking stubborn to take the toy into the corner and away from everyone else.

Well the leaks last year were bollocks, no?
-
Cup kit Knowing us we'll draw (and lose to...) Southend away in the League Cup and then Millwall away in the FA cup and never get to wear the fucking thing.
-
Kaka?
-
Serious questions over his attitude and commitment though, still a mental price - but Barca allegedly have a buy back, presumably for if he sorts himself out, they'll probably buy him back for a modest fee.

Two years ago they missed out on the title by a couple of points with Luis Suarez up front. Surely they can't go from that to Ings, Austin and Lambert...
-
Aye, I spotted that. Someone's enjoying their summer. Hector Belly-rin...
-
Gianelli Imbula on his way there too, no?
-
Surely they're shopped Could take Linford Christie sideways man.

The same Lampard that was part of the group of Chelsea players that drunkenly stripped, swore and vomited in front of U.S. tourists the day after 9/11? 9/12?
-
This fat cunt signed for Chelsea yet?

Love an ITK twitter bint. So sexy. She actually is as well https://twitter.com/EDS_Amy?lang=en-gb Well fit. Hope she is right about Williamson. Aye, I saw that Would endear me more to McClaren if that was true. One of his first acts to tell Mike Williamson to do one
-
I don't think that's its purpose
-
Come on man. What else should we discuss then? It is the bread and butter of our summer to be fair
-
I think with the right coaching he could be an incredibly useful player for us. To put him in the same bracket as Williamson and Perch is embarrassing.

You've been waiting for this outcome!

Seriously, last year of his contract at a relegated club, £15m is a HUGE ask. He might justify a £15m fee if he had two or three years left, but only one? £15m would get you far more than that outside of English football. It really isn't. I don't even rate Austin that highly, but 15m doesn't get you a whole lot nowadays, even abroad. With the new TV deal I think you will find between 10 and 20 million is pretty much the going rate for a proven Premier League goal scorer. The fact QPR got relegated and Austin has one year on his current contract (does he?) is not particularly relevant as someone will pay it. I also think calling him a 'proven' Premier League goalscorer is a bit of a stretch. Granted, he did exceptionally well in his first season but that's all it's been - just one season.

Obviously. What's stopping Woodman from walking away if CP offer him a better deal? Good point, guess it means we won't have to pay him off though like Carver and Stone?
