I'm all for signing a 30 something player who's been there and done it, we've turned our noses up at a few players who've came in to top clubs over the years and given them a good season or two on the pitch.

We should never just sign anyone for the sake of it. I'm more than happy to see us sign nobody over bringing in poor squad players just to say we've signed someone. When I think about some of the shite we've been stuck with over the years, good god...

Schar looked miserable throughout Bruce's tenure, his demeanor completely changed from when Rafa was here. How Bruce is still in the game is beyond me.

You could see he was a good player in that Championship season he had. Some of the goals he scored and contributed to were really good bits of football. His positional play was great and he linked up well with the midfield. Just didn't have the physicality to be a top player in the PL. It was obvious that he'd be away when Rafa went, the club was showing little to no ambition and yeah, 25m was a good fee for him at the time. No ill feeling towards him whatsoever.
