  1. Nobody wanted to answer me the other day when I asked what the average wage was in the Championship, but I'd wager £30k is well above even the highest earners. Don't think we're in a position to be offering him anything like that much. well to be fair how many championship clubs get as many in attendance as we did yesterday (and thats with all the off field shit too) plus theres the parachute money. 30k may be high by championship standards but if we get our wage bill to a sane level we can afford to pay more than your average championship club
  2. it may be his only way back into football management, I wouldnt write him off completely just yet

yeah he looked lively alright how much that was down to reading haven given up on the match is uncertain but give him a go I say lets see what he can do
  4. Ah the mackem bitch just can't stand a bit of positivity at newcastle can she and as for the mails attempt
  5. a player/coaching role might work out quite well
  6. while cambells pace may be gone he still has one of the best defensive brains around which counts for a lot he could possibly bring a sense of organisation to the back line and also in set pieces which will be the main threat to our goals judging by last 2 games. He can also likely teach our other cbs a thing or two espicially our young guns like tozer and kadar and once hes done with football he could take up a coaching role
  7. No way the wage bill is under £30m, more like mid to high 40's. I definitely agree with the rest though. yeah by my rough calculations with duff gone some 23m a year has gone off the wage bill since the end of last year so that would leave it in the 40-50m bracket
  8. Why else would you have those seating arrangements? random?

  18. whatever pace he had is gone but he still no doubt has one of the best defensive brains around and has the defensive nous to cope without pace, plus he can teach the likes of kadar and tozer a thing or two about defending too. Lets hope its true
