Simon Peach @SimonPeach 30m30 minutes ago Told deal collapsed as #THFC were unable to agree terms with #FFC, meaning Dembele is set to stay until the summer, when his contract ends
-
the club banned him and the telegraph
-
benefits wba more to rather publicly advertise bids, might get in higher competing bids, next to no benefit from nufc perspective
-
kinda hard for him to help wba stay in the prem when pulis barely ever starts him in the league
-
Damian Spellman @DamianSpellman 45s45 seconds ago I understand #nufc are still awaiting a formal response to their »21million bid for Berahino amid suggestions it has been rejected.
-
might need to sort a work permit/international clearance from FIFA etc
-
Tedious as fuck. its kinda entertaining watching them trying to hype the whole thing up if your working under the assumption they're clueless
-
Can't see City letting Bony go until they bring another forward in. thinking the same thing
-
well its something to keep mild interest in deadline day at least, probably won't happen but I'm not going to be terribly upset if it doesn't (assuming the Doumbia deal goes to plan)
-
will he need a work permit?
-
or not accept it to spite the player and or manager
-
the entire Berahino thing is bloody weird. Scored plenty last season yet this season barely ever starts and yet despite the manager by the looks of it not being terribly upset by the idea of him being sold the chairman is determined to keep him at the club when his value is likely to drop quickly.

No. Best left back we've had since Bernard IMO. Santon was meant to be Enrique's replacement, but like so many attempts at replacing important players, it was a shite attempt that was never going to work. A, because he was never good enough and B, because he was entirely different sort of full-back to Enrique. On the whole, we've failed at replacing the majority of our high-profile departures since being promoted. The replacements of those departed since 2011 are particularly messy, whilst persisting with others who should have long been disposed of. That's why the squad is in the state it's in. Carroll --- Ba (success) Enrique --- Santon (rubbish), then Haidara (rubbish), then Dummett (rubbish) Nolan --- Cabaye (success) Ba --- Remy (fucked off), then Riviere (rubbish), then Mitrovic (4 goals...) Cabaye --- De Jong (crock), Colback (rubbish), then Shelvey (nowhere near Cabaye) Debuchy --- Janmaat (okay) Ben Arfa --- Cabella (rubbish), then Thauvin (rubbish), then Townsend (nowhere near HBA) Wijnaldum is obviously a very good signing but he didn't really directly replace anyone. He's not like anyone we've had since we came up, I don't think. Purely in terms of finding like-for-like replacements, we've done a shite, shite job. Lucky as fuck that Perez turned out to be a gem, like. personally I think Janmaats been quite a bit better than Debuchy and bit harsh to judge Shelvey and Townsend so quickly

think there is an ego thing from the WBA chairman too tbh, I dare say at this stage he'd rather get nothing and Berahino rot on the bench than sell him to spurs on principle.
-
typical arsenal
-
agree, maybe he'll learn in time but trying to play football in your own penalty box is moronic
-
the Real Madrid experience broke him so badly

12 goals in 50 prem games for swansea according to wiki and he's 30, yeah that seems like a complete waste of time and money
-
you really think Perez would have learned some kind of lesson from where everything went wrong with the first galacticos
-
was never terribly convinced by the Berahino deal being possible, probably being used by the agent to try and get Spurs/Chelsea/Whoever to bid.
