  2. Pete O'Rourke ‏@SkySportsPeteO 20m Crystal Palace lining up a loan move for Blackburn Rovers striker Leon Best #cpfc #brfc
  3. Stop them going elsewhere and improving rivals
  4. GW22: Sunderland 2-2 Southampton Arsenal 5-0 Fulham Crystal Palace 2-1 Stoke Man City 3-0 Cardiff Norwich 1-2 Hull West Ham 0-0 Newcastle Liverpool 3-0 Aston Villa Swansea 1-1 Tottenham Chelsea 1-0 Man Utd West Brom 1-2 Everton
  5. Classy. sadly all too common in football, players are quickly criticized when they want to jump ship but it goes both ways and clubs can be ruthless to even players who've done well for a club

  7. well thats not the worst idea in the world
  8. What do you mean by that? I think he's saying that when a club hits a rough patch the fact that the complaints are roughly the same as other clubs in said rough patch are broadly the same never cease to amaze. its all the same, regardless of manager its always too cautious, too much long ball, boring football etc. Just one of the quirks I've noticed, perhaps all managers fail in the exact same way but its a little curiosity I found amusing
  9. never ceases to amaze me how when things go bad the same complaints regardless of the club are said by supporters
  10. league one club then, premier league club now.

  12. Dunno why swap deals are ever mentioned by the media they only happen once every blue moon
  13. probably just lazy reporting with the Cortze news (ie link every southampton player with someone else) can't see them selling more than 1 or 2 this window (Shaw if I had to guess)
  14. Mort was chairman, Llambias was Managing Director. Now its like this.. Mike Ashley (Owner) | John Irving (Finance Director), Lee Charnley (Football Secretary) & Joe Kinnear (Director of Football) | Alan Pardew (Manager) so no one knows who's actually in charge on a day to day basis
  15. He'd hate it. We'd be bankrupt after buying the fax paper for the bids. You're underestimating our resources, Skeletor. We hired a guy the other who can pick up a telephone to anyone, ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. Now that's skill. yeah but all football clubs the world over have his number blocked
  16. Sportsdirect news linking Obertan with Fulham which is obviously too good to be true
  17. I'm no accountant but isn't amortization basically a way to put the cost of buying a player over a period of time on the accounts, ie have £4m loss per season on a player over 5 years compared to £20m all at once? So basically it is based on market value but the market value you bought him for
