they're a well organised side which most of the time is hard to beat. Not the most talented group of players but Bruce has them playing well.
-
impressive stuff from Southampton, most clubs in the league could take a lesson or two from Southamptons academy system.
-
for me its very similar to the 5th place season in the back to basics right now but hopefully now as then as confidence builds we can improve the attacking side. Still on the bright side the football is by no ones standards bad

No need. Our manager was from there. Didn't he get sacked for shagging one of the players wives? Allegedly fell out with the chairman is the official line
-
that was fast!

OptaJoe @OptaJoe 50s 0 - Excluding a penalty, Tottenham Hotspur have failed to score with any of their last 78 shots in the Premier League. Wayward. yikes

how can anyone be so unpleasant

dunno wba are a good side and its only their 2nd loss away from home (which includes trips to old trafford and stamford bridge) so not sure we should just be killing them off. Its a very good win

It's like people don't know how Twitter works... First he's jumping on board with the praise for Giggs. Then he's going for his two bob's worth of controversy which, if you read it, isn't really so bad. And from then on he's replying to all the trolls that two bob's worth of controversy dug up. You can see him getting more and more wound up as people rail against him for daring to mention the unmentionable. It's not as though it's one single media release - it's one half of a conversation. People talk about the relative heinousness of Giggs' and Barton's crimes, well, you can see Barton's lingering anger management issues right there on the page. Starts with "can't be having that" and gets progressively more angry until he calls Giggs out as a "cunt"... well on the bright side at least he's found a better avenue to vent his anger than random kids or teammates.

Tiote certainly has acquitted himself well as Captain imho
-
They have Chelsea (h), Spurs (h) & West Ham (a), Norwich (h), Everton (a), Cardiff (a) in December, if they don't get at least 6 points from there then they are gone IMO luckily for them the way Spurs and Norwich are playing its certainly possible for them to get 6

crazy but then again 2 very long serving managers left in the summer and 2 of the longer of the rest of the prem left for one reason or another too. Still mad
-
Brunt really got some force on that goal
-
iirc the only thing in the rules is deliberate or not and thats where the arm thing comes in, if its by your side and it hits your hand/arm its obviously not intentional and a complete accident but when they're out like the wba player had them then its much more difficult
-
aye, quite how hes turned an ageing squad in need of new blood into an even older squad in need of a new side is mystifying
-
now your just being silly
-
think the key player is Mertesacker performing really well and not the normal cb Wenger has bought himself
-
Still expecting to be 7th this time tomorrow. the horror

That's bullshit, man. Everyone in life has made mistakes, doesn't mean they lose the right to an opinion on anything. Sure but why mouth off on a public forum about a fellow professional. It's attention seeking at it's worst. It's like "oh he's getting complimented on having a great career, I've had a shit career so better say something that's going to get peoples attention. " To be fair I've not seen any of this love in for Giggs as I hate the bloke for the reasons mentioned by others but surely the people praising him, are doing it because he's an excellent footballer and not praising what he's done off the field? yup just people praising his professionalism and ability to keep playing at the very highest level for so long and playing well even now and he will be long remembered for it already a Man Utd legend who'll be remembered in the same line of thought as Charlton and Best long after people have completely forgotten about what he did off the field, compared to Barton a limited player who will be remembered solely for his persistent off the field violence, an overly high opinion of his own ability and intelligence and an overly large mouth.

I was delighted with the win but thought the game itself could have been better. Was quite surprised to hear a few people on the way back to the car saying it was a good game. first half was garbage from both sides but 2nd half was miles better tbf and like with anything people have selective memory and most probably chose to forget most of the 1st half ever happened.

Nothing as bad as what Giggs has done, but that's just in my book. yeah I view beating up kids, sticking a cigar in a kids eye and beating up a teammate on the training ground as just a tad bit worse
