I don't like the way the Europa League is basically champions league lite being set up in the exact same way and the group stage is just plain dull for me it only starts to get interesting in the knockout phase which also introduces another element I despise; the arrival of the champions league losers just to completely undermine the credibility of the competition even further. The theory of the Europa League is decent the execution is horrendous, what it needs to be taken more seriously is make it feel different to the champions league not just champions league lite as it currently is and imho the best way for that is a 2 legged knockout competition with no seeds from the very start and most definitely no one parachuting down from the Champions League as a reward for failure.

Anyone that expects this Tottenham team to compete for the title wants their head looking at.... yes they spent a lot of money because they sold Bale for 90m but they still are nowhere close to the major contenders and besides you can't buy loads of players and expect them to gel instantly. Why does anyone think over last few years Arsenal have started so slowly? its because every summer they sell their best players and have to rebuild... and thus a new team has to gel they didn't this summer and if by magic they are 4 points clear at the top. that won't be the way the money men look at it they'll see over £100m on new players and a team that instead of playing better and scoring loads of goals with the many attacking players they bought they'll see a dull side that can't score have depended on luck to get them pens to win matchs they should win anyway and results dipping.
